Plan “A” today is to watch the southern end of storm clusters and see if anything can organize.
Yesterday I was late for the first tornado in Texas, but got the slushy second one in thick coils of rain. (Thanks to my security cameras). At one dumb point I was escaping the tornado in a...

Good Morning Patrons,
Lots of swinging emotions to process. I hope everyone is safe and we didn't lose any loved ones. Things are firing up early today and I'm out of range a bit in Central Kansas. I'm going to blast south into Oklahoma and then do some misanalysis if time allows, however ...

Place your bets. A, B or C?
If I was more reckless I'd try a 2'fer starting with target A and blasting down to B. As of now I'm aiming at B.
Yesterday was a silly scramble through cold goobliglosh. There were some nice bolts and a 2" hail stone was kind enough to crack my window to...

Morning Chasers,
I’m currently targeting the warm front in NW Kansas. The warm front can be a double edged sword at times and I usually opt for the dryline, however conditional capping on the dry line and high confidence initiation on the warm front… you get the idea. Shaw and I are d...

I’ve been torn between the southern 5% target in Texas and the 10% SigTor target in Kansas all morning. As of now I’m choosing Texas / Abilene vicinity. I may make a mad dash north last second if the CAMS start to resolve daylight storms there.
I’ll try to post worthy updates.

I hope everyone had a good time yesterday. My cousin Spencer got clouded in in the Texas Hill Country but was amazed by the falling darkness and animal behavior. We raced clouds from 4:30 AM until 1:30PM finding clear blue skies in Arkansas just before totality. Looking forward to the next one...

It's time for the big celestial event. In the ensemble map above we can infer there will be a lot of cloud foiling and a lot of lucky sungazers. It is currently not looking good for most of Texas or New York. You Mainiacs are looking great. Arkansas through Indiana appears to be pretty good, bu...

Hey Gang,

Above is an ensemble of CAMS reflectivity forecasts. I think there's solid enough agreement to put the current target near Vernon TX to Lawton OK. This is well south of the SPC 10% Sig Tor outlook attm.

Above is the fatty fun cloud from Sunday's Oklahoma storm chase. Pretty weak instability, but an abundance of SRH had the storms spinning pretty good. It could have been more neato if it wasn't so lazy.

Morning Chasers,
I’m currently targeting Woodward Ok keeping S KS and the rest of OK in play. HRRR currently suggesting to me most of KS is botched with poor dews, however SPC is still keeping it in play. Will get north and asses if time allows.

Evening Patrons,
I'm debuting the poster art for my next single "Soul Chaser" here now. This was heavily inspired by "The Endless Summer" movie poster and old 60's n 70's Blues posters with the wonky colors. In the attachments below is your high res printable version.

To mess with our heads, the SPC snuck in a late 5% today at 11:20AM. Running the numbers prior, I slated today as a waste of gas. Could this be our first regret of the year? :D

Looks like storms should pop in the Midwest in a few hours. SPC has issued a 10% Sig Tor around the Ohio River Valley. The NAM resolved supercells around Chicago. Could be a close to or after dark event. Stay safe those in the risk area. Stay extra safe those chasing.

SPC is going bold with a 10% Sig-Tor in LA and beyond tomorrow. To chase, I’ll need to see surface temperatures warming more than what the models are currently projecting… something the SPC suggested is plausible.
