Chase Today April 24 / Active week

It's that time. Like many of you I've been preparing for weeks of burrito bonanza chasing and I think I'm well prepared physically, technically and mentally. Today I'll be heading to the 2% in west Texas. the latest runs initiate storms well after dark...

Here's the HRRR at midnight followed by the NAM at 1AM.

Tomorrow is looking conditionally good and the SPC has severe outlooks through Sunday. I wouldn't be surprised if this binge lasts through May the 4th. Time to step up to the plate and start swinging. Some of us will strike out while others hit home runs. Let's enjoy the game.

If you haven't seen the April chasing thread in "chats" be sure and check that out. Everyone posting fun stuff there. I'll post worthy updates when my knuckles aren't white.

Good luck Soul Chasers!

Looks like ~Lubbock was a bust. Where to now? Or are you just tracking the whole thing as it moves NE. ?

Best of luck and drive safe! Should be some good lightning in that storm.

I didn't think that "Conditional Tornado Potential Thursday" had quite the same ring to it as "Taco Tuesday", but I'm coming around to it! Good luck out there!

Omaha is getting a little more primed up as the week progresses. Should be interesting.

Good luck Hank! I’m chasing tomorrow through Saturday at least, fingers crossed for not another cap bust tomorrow.

A target-rich environment. What's your pick?

SPC. The severe weather threat Friday will extend along an approximate 1,000-mile swath from southern Minnesota to central Texas. The area covered by severe weather Friday is about a half million square miles and encompasses much of the lower portion of the Great Plains and nearly half of the Mississippi Valley. Cities at risk of severe weather Friday include Kansas City and Springfield, Missouri; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Topeka, Kansas; Fort Smith, Arkansas; Omaha, Nebraska; Des Moines, Iowa; and Dallas.
