The final section of the ship - work in progress

So this week I finally got back to the spaceship and onto the front portion of the ship. Will focus on wrapping up the exterior first then the interior/bridge. The L.A.S in red will be store in the ship's hangar (and also for size comparison showing the size of the bigger ship)

Another small weekly update

Two more stretch goals are completed for the Ymir Outpost kickstarter - the giant plasma gun and transport truck.

I've also finished the top of the crew quarter and I will finally work on the bridge/front of the ship and the base ship will be complete!

Outpost Ymir Kickstarter stretch goal updates

So as you know I launched the Outpost Ymir on Kickstarter on Monday and I have shifted my focus on the stretch goals for a bit before going back to the giant spaceship. Here are the 3 stretch goals I've done so far.

Engine section complete!

Finally got the engine section complete, for now at least. Now the ship also has a dual rail gun! You have the option to use that or a regular top piece as shown. I also made this section a bit less busy to give it some breathing room on the eyes for the overall ship.

Few days ago I realized I was missing a common section that connects each section together specially on the second floor. I didn't want to just leave it as a long endless platform with no "stop" so I spent most of this week to design a common section for both floors and with gates/doors.

First of all I fixed my printer (again) by replacing the nozzle, heat throat plus the silicone heat protective thingy for the heat block. So I painted the remaining pieces of the L.A.S and reprinted the top piece. Pretty happy overall with how it came out consider I didn't print this at a super f...

Hangar done for now

The hangar is done for now, planning to release this along with the L.A.S some time near the end of the year. Will see how things go! Also my printer is back online and was able to print the cockpit piece of the L.A.S. Pretty happy with the result consider how un-tuned my printer is :)
