Patreon Update: Discontinuing 'Watch-A-Movie-with-Me.
Added 2017-03-26 23:45:38 +0000 UTCHey Guys, For the time being, we are temporarily discontinuing 'Watch-A-Movie with Me' Tier on Patreon. We will be re-designing our Patreon soon possibly with new tiers and new rewards. We want to thank everyone who participated in Watch-A-Movie-With-Me and who donated at that Tier level. Some of the previous recordings are available in the feed bellow.
For those wondering, We have taken it down due to the difficulty of finding a live-streaming service that worked well, the operating costs, and the difficulty of getting people together at the same time. We have also recently discovered that new Live Streaming services have emerged since we started. We are experimenting with Instagram Live, which seems to work better for this type of engagement. We may be doing this sort of thing on another platform or another in the future.
For everyone who donated at that Tier the Tier may still be visible to you and not visible to new Patrons.

2017-03-31 22:20:03 +0000 UTCI really enjoy the "movie watch stream" concept, I've also joined a few other creators when they do it (like the recently cancelled Sourcefed and Screen Junkies), but if it doesn't work than so be it. But if you would continue with SOME form of live streaming, that would be awesome... maybe Twitch Creative like working on sets, props, costumes, or anything else. It's just fun to join in live. ^_^

2017-03-27 00:44:58 +0000 UTCYeah I kinda agree with PJ B, I felt like I wasn't getting my tier-worth when all of CBG19's followers gets the notification and it feels crowded. I really liked the small coziness of us who got to support her and have the movie time with her.

2017-03-27 00:27:16 +0000 UTCI originially signed up at that level as it felt like a better deal (an experience rather than more merchandise). I did like the intimacy of the SmileTime platform with few watchers thus more room for interaction but I understand there are issues, including scheduling. With too many viewers in the chat, you get a different experience that is more one way. It's one of the main issues of live discussions with a chat. I've seen other cases where it just scrolls so fast it's impossible to follow or do any good Q&A. I am not sure if Instagram is the best alternative but I am sure you'll figure something out. Not live private monthly video Q&A, with pre-sent questions from patrons at that level perhaps? Throwing it out there, as it's one interactive-ish alternative that shouldn't be too time consuming to do.
