Loved IT!

Saw It, loved it, waiting for the sequel, planning on reading the book, and The Stand.

You talking about Steven King makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I don't want to sound like Captain Contrary but is there an explanation in the book or theory in the community about why It seems to lure Georgie into the sewer with things Georgie likes, making his first victim a semi-exception to the whole "freak them the fuck out then kill them" MO? I mean, I guess you could say that Georgie is just afraid of strangers... well I answered my own question but I'll smash the post button anyway to give people something think about I guess

Pool shark, same. It does actually turn into a shark in the book. We don't see it happen but a kid tells Bill about it when he comes back as an adult; his friend saw "the shark from Jaws" in the canal by the stand pipe.

Now I just want a 20 minute video of CBG19 playing out a hollywood executive meeting πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ that had me dying

Loved it and the mini series from the 80's. Why'd they all just pile their bikes in the middle of the road?! They were acting like spoiled brats and maybe it was just trying to keep the streets clean?! Great review team19!

Haven't read IT in 'bout 20 years. Gonna have to reread. Pet Cemetery in 5th grade is the only book I ever stopped reading. Finished 3 years later.

took my 15yr old and 8yr old to watch it after we watched the original. yes my 8yr old loved it and she slept well that night lol.

It seems the little brainiacs got smart, they used well the chance of fear. They passed the test, they can live. It's safe to say that for the next 27 years their lives will be less ... eventful. Great review! :)

"The acceptance of evil is a trap from which we must dream ourselves free." Loved the overlying message of the novel and films. I think it is rather interesting how they left out so much of the psychedelic content found in the novel, in regards to the final confrontation with the entity, maybe that is something left sacred for the readers as it is best left for human imagination. This remake certainly shook me up more than I anticipated. I found the 80s miniseries to be much campier than this remake... I found myself disturbed not only by Pennywise, but also the extremities of Mike's sheep-killing and the bullies and the different fathers' horrible abusive acts. So much trauma! The scariest moment for me was seeing giant Pennywise in the garage after messing with the slide-projector. Not sure if it is relevant to the plot that Bill's bike is named Silver, but they sure did showcase that a lot, it seemed... I'm really happy it didn't suck. I really thought that it might, after Dark Tower. Totally love the synchronicity of the teen orgy and the spice orgy being discussed by you on the same day; It makes me think of what the authors are really trying to promote, which is I presume some kind of shared consciousness and blood intimacy. All in all, Thanks for the review! Would be interested if you noticed any more similarities between Herbert and King; as I'm sure you've read enough of both to pick up on more! gonna drop this in here too, for anybody that might find it interesting: http://primalscenes.blogspot.com/2016/08/the-homosexual-in-text-dennis.html#more
