"Final Alpha" Deets!

Our schedule:

- On the morning of Wednesday (November 10,) we will lock the project down.  This is the point at which work on this release will officially end, and we can commence final checks & bug hunts.

- On Friday (November 12,) we will release the Peace Island Final Alpha for PC.  As always, everyone who has donated $2.00 or more over the duration of this campaign will receive a notification email containing links to the Alpha, and the manual.

FURTHER DETAILS:

- PC System Requirements.  Our eventual goal is to get Peace Island running smoothly on a PC with 8gb of RAM.  Indeed - some players with VERY good graphics cards have been able to get it to run (albeit slowly) with 8gb of RAM.  Unfortunately, despite our continued best efforts, Peace Island still currently requires 16gb of RAM to run properly.

- As usual, the MAC release will come soon after.  We have finally figured out why there have been consistent issues with the compressed versions we have been uploading for Apple users:  Essentially, any mac software that is uploaded to a google drive is immediately compressed in a manner that renders the package incomprehensible to your average Mac.  The solution is to upload the next alpha to an iCloud drive- which we will do.

- New features we can confirm:

1) New Controller - FAR more natural movement!
2) New Animations - Everything is new!
3) New Fur Shader - No more "balloon cats!"
4) Stat tracker - The game now tracks your movement, and actions.
5) Save/Load game - At long last!
6) First elements of story - Two new "intro" levels set the scene.
7) "Follow" function - Lead your own clowder!
8) Kitten - Ronan joins the cast!
9) Three flocks of geese - instead of just one.
10) Longer days & nights - no more 8-minute days!
11) New actions - Eat, Drink, Read, and Climb!
12) Reactive foliage - Grasses and some plants now react to your passing.
13) Smoother performance, overall - As usual! 

All of this is on top of so many fixes, tweaks, and adjustments, I cannot go into them all here.  It'd take  pages to explain everything that we've worked on since the last release - I will explain them in the live stream I mentioned earlier.

In-Game Name mentions are still being processed, albeit at a temporarily reduced rate.  For the past week, we've been so busy with the Alpha, that I have been only able to process 5-10 placements per day.  However, after release of the Alpha, I expect us to be able to clear all outstanding placements by the end of the month.
