Weekly Roundup 210 - Hellhound Redux - Week 7

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all doing well. Had a pretty productive week so let me show you how the pack is progressing:

1: What's New:

This week was importing the assets into Unity and then mapping and attaching bones to the new assets. That went on easy enough.

After that I've been working on setting up the new 25 parts and rearranging the existing parts into that new set of 50.

So here we can see with the parts and log UI the 50 parts. That's a lot of buttons!

I haven't been able to animate anything yet but I can going through and setting up the body parts to correspond to the part in the set. So here's an example of the "Excessive Tentacles" Scene.

This screenshot is just for giggles. Here you can see every animation bone overlaid on top of each other. It's pretty incomprehensible.

Thankfully Unity does not display bones for art assets not visible. Which makes these scenes so much easier to manage and animate.

But overall solid progress this week! We're into the Thick of Unity work now.

2: What's next?

Next up is a combo of continuing to block out and create the animation files for each part of the animation and then once that's done, progress to animating each part.
