2018-02-16 19:58:10 +0000 UTCKerr benching Zaza is a sign of what's to come in the playoffs. Zaza won't play much at all in the postseason. It's not just bc Kerr wants to go small. Look how much better the spacing was in the 2nd half w/o Zaza. Our offense needs this kind of spacing to be at its best. If GSW just hadn't gone down by 20 pts after the 1Q, they would've won this game easily. We were able to outscore POR in the 2nd half bc the offense flowed better w/o Zaza. Not many people have been talking about it but Zaza's PnR defense has been trash all year. That's why Kerr had to take him out. He couldn't defend all the PnR's Nurkic/Lillard was running. If Zaza can't defend Nurkic , how's he supposed to handle much better bigs like Capela and Adams.
