Chapter 162 [Vault]

[3rd POV] [A month later]

A month had passed, a month of growth and of preparation for the invasion of those that want her territory. Over that month, she had finally claimed her 5 characters (that the author totally didn’t forget about…) and had gotten a pretty decent chunk of characters.

The first two characters were the ones that had really caught her eye, as her power over the force had increased by a decent bit thanks to them. The new memories had been welcomed as well. 

Over that month, thanks to the hard work of her large Empire, and through the aid of the Star Forge, all 2.5 quintillion droids had been upgraded into a stronger form, this was only possible thanks to the Star Forge, and the thousands of factories that were made to not only produce new droids, but upgrade the old ones into better, stronger versions. 

The new droids were specially created to protect the Empire, with the ability to utilize powerful force fields, lift dozens of tons, heal wounds, man ships, and basically doing anything and everything around the Empire. 

Her total armies thanks to this, and the Star Forge, was now upwards of 3 quintillion. A massive, overwhelming number, but still not enough to face the Daleks or Cybermen, much less the Time Lords or pretty much any higher entity in the universe. 

Sitting upon her golden throne, Victoria let out a sigh as she watched the barrier begin to weaken, 3 minutes remaining until it would collapse, and everything would begin. 

It would also seem that the system had now given her the 5 next characters and one summon. And she wasted no time to claim both of them.

Victoria sighed as she felt the power and memories of the 5 characters flood into her being, causing her to grip the throne harder, as it cracked slightly underneath her incredible strength. She could feel the 145 quadrillion lives flood into her Empire, as more planets were now inhabited and new armies were added upon her own. 

Leaning back in her Throne, Victoria looked up as the assimilation finished, the clock ticking down as a single minute remained. 

“Are all preparations complete?” Victoria asked Palpatine, one of her close confidants. 

“Yes, master. All defensive positions have been taken, citizens have been warned and prepared, and the weapons are primed. One wrong move from the foolish invaders and we’ll wipe them all out in a single strike” Palpatine replied with a grin, knowing that the Sontaran’s stood no chance. 

Had it been the Daleks or Cybermen it would have been a different story. 

“Good. I’ll be returning to Earth, I want the Leviathan situated near the sun in the case of any fools that manage to get close enough” Victoria ordered as the man lowered his head before walking off to give the orders. 

Glancing at the clock as it ticked down, Victoria smiled as she walked over to one of the nearby teleporters. One that led directly to her primary home and palace on Earth, one that had been built in the past month in Svalbard Norway, aka the center of the world in terms of geographical points. 

Reappearing through the teleporter on the other side, Victoria ignored those that bowed when she walked by, as she walked into her large throne room. The clock ticking down as she moved and sat upon her throne, one more comfortable than the one in the Leviathan, and specially built just for her.

Sitting upon her glowing throne, Victoria leaned back, as she watched the clock tick down.

”5…4…3…2…1…and so, everything begins” Victoria muttered, as the clock stopped at zero. 

Around the Empire, alarms rang, as the armies of the Empire took to space. Soldiers marched around the cities, droids manned every form of defense that the Empire had at their disposal, and the Sith and Jedi prepared for battle.

All the while, Victoria sat, watching the screens, as the barrier between her Galaxy and the greater universe collapsed. The ships on the other side slowly fly through, towards the first planet.

On the planet of Exitar, a small “Edge” planet that was alongside the great barrier, Grand Admiral Thrawn sat within his Star Destroyer, watching the surveillance of the ships flying through. 

“So it seems it has begun. Follow the orders of her grace. We warn them against invasion, should they persist, we annihilate them and gather all technology salvageable” Thrawn ordered, as one of the nearby men nodded, pressing a button as he began to speak into a mic. 

“This is the Star Destroyer Exiton of the Empire. Cease your course towards the territories of the Empire, should you not, you will be annihilated” The man spoke into the mic, only to get static on the other end, before a voice replied. 

“This is Commander Stronk of the Sontaran Empire. Your warnings are ignored, for these territories are now under the Sontaran Empire, cease your foolish attempts at resistance, lest you all be destroyed” The Sontaran Commander on the other end said, as Thrawn glanced to the side. 

“So be it. Obliterate them, we show no mercy to those that attempt lay claim to our Empress’s territory” Thrawn said as the crew nodded, as several calls were made. 

A world destroying weapon lay upon the underside of this Star Destroyer. Which has been dubbed as an “Extinction Class” Destroyer, due to it’s ability to destroy planets with a singular blast. 

“The Extinction Laser is ready, Grand Admiral Thrawn!” One of the crew members said, as Thrawn looked to them. 

“Fire, show them no mercy” Thrawn said simply, as if this was nothing special, as at the underside of the ship, the laser began to charge, before a deep bright red beam of energy crackled out of it, traveling through space. 

On the Sontaran ship, the Sontaran’s could only watch with wide eyes as the weapon charged. 

“Evasive maneuvers!” Stronk ordered, but alas, it was too late, as the laser ripped through their entire fleet like it was nothing, destroying all but only a few ships, with those ships being completely shut down thanks to the EMP nature of the blast, one of the major upgrades that was made to it. 

Seeing this, Thrawn could only smirk slightly as he spoke out loud. 

“Glory to our Empire!”

Around the territories of the Empire, similar situations were occurring. Thousands upon thousands of ships all fighting against the invasions of the various species interested in the Empires wealth of Territory, and each and every last one of them were turned to dust within moments. 

Thankfully though, not all of them were there for a bad reason, some were there to flee from another war, in hopes that they could colonize a new planet and find a new home. 

Those that were in such a situation were put into contact with the necessary parties, and given the direction of the planets they were allowed to live on, under the very strict laws that the Empire held. Said people were talking in person with Jedi, those that were trained specially in working with other species and foreign relations.

Within one of the corners of the Galaxy that was not being invaded, there was one singular ship in particular, the most important of them all. This “Ship” looked like a blue…Policebox?

And within this impossible policebox, a group of 4 stood. 

“Doctor, are you sure it’s a good idea to be here? Didn’t you say that half the universe is fighting for the territory?” A woman asked, this woman was Yasmin Khan, aka Yaz. 

”Yeah Doc, I really don’t think this is the best idea. Plus I thought we were going somewhere more…you know, safe? Especially after that spider debacle” An older man known as Graham said, agreeing with Yaz. 

“Usually I’d disagree, but yeah, I don’t think this is a good idea Doctor” Another man said, younger than the others, this was Ryan, the step-grandson of Graham. 

”Oh c’mon, where’s your sense of adventure fam! This is an impossible galaxy, one that shouldn’t exist and yet it does! You can’t tell me you aren’t interested!” A beautiful blonde woman replied, this was the Doctor, one of the last timelords, and the smartest woman (well, currently woman) in the universe.

“It’s also a galaxy that is at war” Yaz said with a deadpan, as the Doctor pouted, full blown pouted.

”Okay fine! But we’re going to just one planet, alright? And we’ll go to one farther in so we don’t have to worry about any of that!” The Doctor replied, as they sighed. 

“Alright Doc, just try not to get us killed, please?” Graham said, as the Doctor huffed. 

“When have I ever done that?” The Doctor asked, as they all just deadpanned, which she masterfully ignored in favor of controlling the Tardis to bring them to one of the planets in the middle of the galaxy. 

Grinning as the Tardis began to groan and moan (not literally) the Doctor had a grin as she spoke. 

“Well then, let’s see what this galaxy has to offer!”

That’s the end of the chapter!

The love interest is the Doctor as said before. And she’ll likely be a bit antagonistic to the MC in the beginning due to her personality, but Victoria isn’t evil or anything, so she’ll get over it pretty quickly. 

I totally forgot about the 5 powers thing and only remembered thanks to a comment from one of you guys, so thanks for that. 

There won’t be any more summons or anything for a while, so things will start to get a lot more interesting, and we’ll begin to explore and show the Empire a lot more.
