It's Business Time ⏰ 🍆

Over the weekend, I attended the ISSWSH (International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health) Annual Conference in Atlanta, where sex therapist Laurie Mintz shared a hilarious and oh-so-relatable video during her presentation, “Helping Your Patient Overcome Diminished Desire & Difficulty Orgasming With a Partner.”

The song? It’s Business Time by Flight of the Conchords. And let me tell you—I was laughing so hard because it perfectly captures the reality of intimacy in long-term relationships.

Give it a listen and let me know—can you relate? 😆🎶

Laughing with your partner is the best aphrodisiac of all!

Oh, yeah! 😊 I'll have to pass that on to the folk who schedule.

There are many types of intimacy a couple can and are encouraged to explore— emotional, intellectual, aesthetic, social, spiritual/cultural, romantic, affectionate, sexual. Sometimes we have to think outside the traditional box. 😉

Yes, It can definitely be challenging but worth it with a little bit of effort from both people in the couple-ship. Setting aside intentional time to just be together, even if it's body doubling. Start small and build up. 💛

Calling it a Tryst instead of scheduled time is way sexier in my opinion. 🔥

Glad you had a belly laugh, Rex! It's therapy. 💛

Many, Many, Moons Ago, As shameful as it is to say, Been There Done That! After a 16 hour work day then taken care of the baby, And after supper -you get what you get and don't throw a fit- That song cracked me up. I'm still laughing out load as I'm writing this. Thanks, Dr. Susie, I needed that one today!

I've heard a number of couples saying they schedule intimate time. Works for some when they actually have it set aside as quality time. The work together to build anticipation as the time arrives. The song describes a pretty shallow individual, though. Sad, but funny in having to admit it's a real thing.

ya carson, totally get it!! Sometimes you gotta just say, "let's get down to bid niss" no matter what! The physiological benefit is worth it... The intimacy part is where the work actually is tho so I'm relating to your quandary.

Taking those shoes off first can be strategic to going for 3 minutes next Wednesday night.

With me, I guess we have gotten in a rut and can't seem to get out of it. We both work different schedules so it's hard to find time together. Then there is all the health issues I've had over the past year. I feel like what's the use. I don't want a wam bam thank you mam.
