Katsu's conceptual art for Arlew Gripps (left) and Jonio Sev (right). Both are officers in the PCPD's 'special crimes unit'. So far, Gripps has only appeared on Page 7 and 8 of Chapter 1, while Sev shows up briefly in the last panel of Page 8.
Katsu and I settled on a pair of optional design...

Katsu nailed it here. The panel angles and character positions of his WIP sketch remained nearly identical to the finished page. This also served as a brief introductory to the characters Gripps and Sev. As with nearly all the characters in this chapter, both officers had several alternate des...

The first monthly writing tutorial will be posted on Friday, August 12th. This will cover the process of writing a series guide. Despite being overlooked in writing courses, the series guide is a critical necessity for any creative project. These guides are used for live-action televis...

Katsu's work-in-progress sketch for Page 6. The panel layout and characters' expressions/poses didn't change much from here to the final page. But observant readers might spot that there were several dialogue alterations made between the WIP sketch and finished product.

Katsu's layout for Page 03.
Visually, from a panel-layout standpoint, not much changed from this WIP sketch to the final page. However, in the sketch, on the bottom panel, Chief Hardiman has a thought balloon next to him with some alternate dialogue. This was ultimately changed to a...
