I've been practicing exaggerated faces lately in order to loosen up, we'll see in the finished comics! Inking always mellows the expressions down, so I need to push the sketches a lot.

Here's the working version of the karatekas series. I'm very happy with this efficient artstyle. It took some time deciding what elements are necessary and what I should do without. The idea is to build a fast artstyle to use in the comics, both personal and for client work.

Another compilation of warmup sketches. This week, I've been pushing the proportions of boobs and asses. I want to add the ability to draw really big features to my toolset, even if I don't end up using it in personal or client work that much, it'll strengthen my drawings.

Here's a very early sketch of an upcoming drawing. I'm looking forward to rendering all those fleshy bits pressing together, subcutaneous fat galore. It's a challenge to keep the fat strictly in all the right places, the character is curvy, but far from plump.
