Hoomun Amy Dance

I might be getting better at this. Learned the magic of file objects and in CSP 3.0 they have WAY better morphing options, basically allowing me to do some simple rigging with things like arms, bangs and stuff like that. no physicals like moho but the convivence of animating things like the dress...

Shantae Storyboards to Rough Animation

Rough Animation, Animatic, I don't know, but either way, i'm glad i'm getting real animation experience now 'cause I GREATLY over estimated the work it'd take to take that storyboard and make it into an animation. So to avoid getting stuck on one project forever, i'll keep doing stuff in-between ...

Reworked an old animation

Wanted to compare where I started and where i'm at now. just something simple while working on other cool stuff. :3 Mp4 version attached.

Just felt like trying to push my expressions a bit and trying to not be so ridged.

Hoomun Rouge - Moho Remaster

NOTE: The actual video looks WAY better than the microwaved gif preview.

So realised that I could take the frames in CSP and treat them like Rigs in moho while maintaining the CSP frame by frame files thanks to a tutorial video on the subject. from there, i was able to use moho's bones, cam...

Penni n' doodles - Haven't slept well but we ball.

I'm reworking the hoomun rouge animation as I was thinking about taking what i've been learning in clip studio paint and then applying moho animations ontop of it as it has some more advanced rig tools that i could combine with clip studio's frame by frame stuff. either way, learning frame by fra...

Random Lab Rat

haven't done a full painting in a while and felt like doing something different so revisited the Gacha card concept I did with Nikki a LONG time ago. Also, felt like i needed the practice.

Late Night Ramblings

Was up late drawing and reworking things. Clearly I needed sleep but the sketches where nice enough that I figured I'd upload 'em. will probably doodle Penni later.

Rouge Da Hoomun - Slime Belly - Full Vid Attached

Full animation attached. I'm stupidly hyped with how this one turned out. the Audio scrub in CSP really helped with this 'cause before you kinda just had to guess, but now i can do some simple lip sync to audio and tweak it in davinchi. I went with Anime style mouth sync but maybe i'll try somet...

Working on another simple animation

Just one more thing to make sure I got it. It's gonna take a while but hopefully will be worth it. :3

Retro Animation Final Test

Alright, I think I know what I'm aiming for now. painted backgrounds, flat painted cels on front. I can use some gradients for simple lighting and use cel shading for moments that warrant additional shadows and highlights but for the most part, it should be linework with flat color. Did a little ...

Still learning CSP Frame by Frame Animation

Using the new pen settings and other stuff i've been testing I tried to mimic a cell from injuu daikessen for practice and also did some more animation tests for the frame by frame stuff. the hope is with this final scene test i'll do something that's a bit more dynamic and mimics the retro anima...

Frame by Frame - Thin Lines test

The Colors look way better in the video format but wanted to have a gif preview.

This took a lot of time to work on and I was really sick during hit but I got it done! >:D

This is much closer to that limited / retro animation style I was going for in CSP and with the effects...

More CSP Animation Studies

While I like the rigged animation in moho, learning to do better frame by frame in CSP would help save a lot of time 'cause I'd be working in one program instead of two before compositing in davinchi. Also, while frame by frame takes long, I think there's some charm to it and is worth studying. T...

CSP Frame by Frame - Take 2

I'm really happy with how this one turned out. I feel like I got it close to the style i wanted and while i normally hate working with hard outlines, going for a retro cartoon aesthetic seems to work with it a bit more. I've never really been confident in my line work and being honest frame by f...

Clip Studio Frame By Frame Tests

Still working on my animation skills. Would like to blend CSP frame by frame with Moho's rigged animations. however, for retro styles, CSP would be preferred. I might be able to come up with something cool in between work days and life stuff. :)

Update - Pausing Billing

I ended up getting food poisoning (i mean the whole house did as well as others that went to that specific fast food place but that's a story for another day) and since I already had pre-existing issues, I guess my body has decided that it needs way more recovery time. This put me way behind on b...

Update - Godot Vs Patreon File Limit and other news.

Ok, the bad news is that the next game I was working on is going to be delayed as I'm attempting to use aseprite and pixel art to make the file sizes smaller. The good news is that godot learning is moving swiftly and i've got a bunch of ideas for mini games and one major game that should be a lo...

Couldn't Get the Shmup Boss to work so...

instead I decided to revisit my roots since the godot animation functions are... well let's not dwell on that. i spent days trying to figure it out and honestly, most folks view my stuff on mobile anyway, so i should be designing for mobile, not full controller experiences, at least not at my cur...

Super Short Godot Demo - WIP

This is just what I was able to get done. couldn't animate the boss creature in Godot in time for this week ends upload, but I at least wanted to show that i got the Shmup to function and got the basics down. (pause menu, volume settings, basic enemies, the design style of the game, etcetera). View Post

Godot Concepts for Shmup

Uploads may slow abit as i've been having power problems at home so i'm probably gonna have to pick up some more jobs so i can repair the damage caused by storms and what not. We won't know until we see what's needed to fix the breaker and other stuff but hopefully i'll be able to animate this on...

Blaze Popping Particle Test

Learned that Moho has a particle system in addition to it's physics system which I tested with tawna a while back, so figured I'd test it with raster effects to see if it'd work and it totally did! I went with rainbow sprinkles and glitter 'cause lucky charms and poptarts was on my mind for some ...

Blubber Bandicoot - Final Vector Test

This rig is entirely made out of vectors.

Me personally, unless the script calls for something that specifically requires a vector, I'm going to stick to raster. I like my brush strokes and while moho does have some raster like vector tools, It'll be a while before I get good with those. View Post

Megumi n Ami Raster n Vector Hybrid Test

More Moho Experements. Defiantly think that vector and raster both have their ups and downs and tbh, thinking that what I use just depends on what I need to do. Trying to decide on which one is better, but honestly, I think the medium I use is irrelevant, especially since I can't tell a huge diff...
