Dragonborn Close Up

The textures are blocked out roughly to help with 3D printing.

I use a Prusa i3 MK2S. It is an awesome machine, but when you're printing only 28mm tall it is really important to make the textures clear in your models.

50% of Goal Met (Woo!)

Hi everyone!

We are halfway to meeting my first goal of 20 patrons!

This will allow me to buy more supplies, and take on more orders. That  would include filament, concept art, and shipping materials.

I'm saving all Patron donations so far to buy a resin 3D printer. That way...

Finished Dragonborn

Very pleased how this came out!

The pose really makes or breaks a character. Something dynamic like this can convey a lot about the character. For example, the intimidating pose conveys a lot of strength.

Finished Siren

A fun creature sculpt!

I thought the mask was a very creative request, and added a lot to the design.

Finished Juiblex

This was a tricky one for me because I typically sculpt "pretty" or "majestic" things. Snot texture is not exactly my forte haha

I'm pleased with how it came out!

Finished Tortle

Another request that I really enjoyed doing. She looks so sweet, and grandmotherly.

I want to improve on cloth texture!

Beholder WIP

A commission for Bronze Wolf Studio. I love doing monster sculpts because I don't have to worry about anatomy so much.

Time to make the tentacles more dynamic! I'm very happy with the textures so far.

A lovely Siren I'm sculpting for a Patron!

I really enjoy working with clients to best capture what they want.

Detail will be added to the feet/hands, clothes, and ears!

Finished Black Wolf!

Woo! Pretty happy with my first attempt at fur. Fun Fact: This is my first animal sculpt other than my cat beans!

Wolf WIP - Sculpting Tip

Another example of working from the base up!

It is essential to understand the anatomy and muscles! Even though it will all be covered up by fur, it will have much more dimension due to the fundamentals being present.

Another great aspect of working for the bones up is that is will allow you...

Monster Sculpting Tip

This is an example of why it is important to subdivide, and have multiple subtools. This sculpt is only one piece! It was made in Sculptris when I was just starting out by excessively using the grab brush. So even though the form is interesting, the roughness of it takes away from that.

Fun Custom Request!

This one was quite fun to do. The request was for a flashy young man wearing a fabulous dress.

Odin WIP 2 - Sculpting Tip

This is building off of the original post where it was just a chest sculpt with no head. It definitely pays to have an understanding of the muscles!

Now to tackle the hands.

Odin WIP - Sculpting Tip

For this request I'm making Odin holding some weapons, and looking generally menacing.

He will have armor, but it essential to understand how the muscles underneath are working. Otherwise the armor will hide the body type of your character.

The next step for this sculpt is adjusting th...

Such a fun sculpt to do! The fingers are blocked out for better print quality though I hope to find a better middle ground!
