Another cool character that I sculpted recently!
A unique design that was a lot of fun to make.

It always makes me happy to see clients getting use out of my custom sculpts! They did a great job printing this Tortle for their DnD campaign.

I have this bad habit of pushing the hands off till the very, very end.
If you know you have a weakness, work on it! Just taking 15 minutes every day will really help you as an artist.
It will take some discipline, but it will pay off in the end!

I like to focus on the head and body separately. If the face detail is convincing, it will make the rest of the sculpt look great! For the face I used the inflate and dam standard brush almost exclusively.
I usually don't add two cylinders for each arm. For this one I did because ...

Another character commission down!

Here's a fun little dude that I sculpted recently! Much different than my usual style. I learned a lot since I didn't have elaborate textures/details to hide behind.

A sculpt always looks so silly in the beginning stages. Sometimes I'm tempted to start detailing so that it "looks better", but I end of warping the basic form.
Remember! Basic form FIRST! Then details and textures.

Found a Matcap that I really like for my Odin sculpt! I'm thinking of printing this soon on a large scale.

Here is one of 3D prints from my Cat Bean collection. I used a toothpick to paint the face details. If it works, it works!

Here is an adorable commission that I'm having so much fun sculpting! Just some more details and it should be good to go.
Here is an earlier form. It is so important to add details LATER. If you get caught up in details too soon you will risk losing the form. When the form of...

Here is a quick wolf head sculpted in Sculptris. Painted to look like Amaterasu from Okami. I absolutely adore that game. This sculpt is a good reason to use a reference. When I first attempted this from memory it was a complete mess. I wish I kept it so I could share how ridiculous it looks. Anyway...

This was made in ZBrushCore.

Hi all!
Here is one of the first miniatures I ever made. His face is a bit lumpy and odd, but I remember being so proud of him haha
This was technically a "commission", but I did this one for free. I was pretty unsure when I started out. If you thinking of selling your work as an artist, mak...

When I start on a sculpt, it is important to get the general form FIRST.
Before you get too caught up in details, check the form and anatomy. If the anatomy is solid, it will carry the sculpture. Good anatomy combined with a dynamic pose is half the battle.
In this case I used ZBr...

This guy looks mean! Pretty happy with the result.
When making difficult models with this for 3D printing, it is important to try and make the thinner elements as thick as possible.

Interesting commission!
This will be a challenging 3D print. As a result, I'm doing my best
Almost to 20 patrons!
You are the ones making this possible! Much appreciation.

Best,
Mia
Here's a creepy sculpt for you all!
I'm always surprised at how high the stats are for beholders.
