I had a very nice walk yesterday and made sure to take the time to film some of it. My world has gotten a lot smaller since Covid-19 came around and sometimes I forget that some people want to see what I'm up to. It was just a peaceful walk and I'm glad that I was able to take it, and...

This is my first episode of Comics in the Sun for the season! I'm a little bit rusty at them, but I'll soon be back in the swing of it. This is the perfect comic to kick it off. It is really beautiful and sadly dark, but just the right thing to ease me back into Comics in the Su...

I love looking at the little Resurrection Ferns that pop up on the limbs of these impressive trees. They dry up and look completely dead and then just a small amount of rain and they turn green and beautiful again.

My intention had been to make something practical with pockets! I now have something practical with pockets that reminds me of a kangaroo! Oh, well. Be sure to watch the accompanying time lapse of the creation of the skirt on YouTube tomorrow!

It's been awhile since some noticeable progress was made on this painting! It's taken a bit longer than I'd anticipated, but a lot of detail work has gone into this. I've done my best to capture close up shots of all the detail.
With a painting of this size, I felt it was really impor...

So now that I have this new thing taking up a bunch of floor space, I'm going to utilize it! Watch out for my new firm abs and incredible upper body strength! Okay, maybe not yet, but I'll get there! Then you can call me Super Rachael!

This painting is almost done! I think one more day of meticulous detail work, and I'll be there. Still some detail needed in the arrow, and the foreground. But I'm really happy with the little parts photographed here.

I know that I said to watch YouTube for the latest video, but it was blocked due to copyright. I used a short clip of the song of inspiration, but the video seems less authentic without its true source of inspiration. So, here it is, as I intended it to be. Full credit to Dexy's Midnight Runners!...

I have finished my latest work Covid Eileen! It was really nice being able to work on something other than the huge piece that has been taking up so much of my time. This is a quick and small piece that I just had to do!

I made some progress on the new painting! As I completed my sketch, I got to thinking about our best practices for fighting this virus. It's distance, for now. Stay safe in your little private bubbles!

I had to switch it up! I've been working on the small details of the large painting for days. While I'm not finished with the large painting yet, it is just time to work on something else, too! Maybe I'll get a little creative with the color scheme on this one!

Many years ago, I was particularly stressed out. I mean daily panic attacks, insomnia, lack of focus, I was struggling. One day, I lied down on the floor. It was a low point. From the depths of my memory, I recalled a yoga class that I had attended regularly I college. I remembered what the instr...

Hello, dear ones!
I hope that everyone is faring well during the strange time. I just wanted to do a quick little update and share what I've been doing. I'm trying, in earnest, to work myself tired everyday. I love being outdoors and digging, trimming, and planting!

I've been working on some of the detail on the painting! Not anything that one might notice from a great distance, so close up shots are necessary. I'm working with significantly smaller brushes, so it's slow work!
