Did a bit of maintenence work on the Unshiu model, and I also made a new tentacle for her. One day I'm going to have to commit to fixing all the small issues with Unshiu, but presumably that happens after the Akli model is done and I've learned all the important lessons.

I'm quite enjoying using the old pixellated brush for these animations again. It makes the colouring a lot easier for sure, but also it makes the lines a bit easier to repeatdly re-draw every frame.

It's Lunar New Year! And they gave me a Kobold tail!!

I would say that I'm going through a Kimiko phase, but I've been going through my Kimiko phase for over a year and a half already, I was just afraid of drawing her because I really have to draw her somewhat accurately or I just won't capture the magic.

I went back to using a binary pen for this animation. I tend to think it leads to cleaner linework, at the cost of the lines losing a bit of their character. It certainly makes colouring easier though.

It's funny how many times I had to reconsider the canvas size on this drawing. It's 75% taller than usual because I had to keep adding pixels to the bottom. I'm not used to normal height characters.

Turning a 3D character upside down is a heck of a way to stress test your Animation Rig. Anyway I found a few issues that I quickly fixed, her arms weren't super happy with the orientation initially.
