Most people don't notice that tech set. Chen is the exact opposite of Scotty on th original series. Scotty was always hyper yelling and screaming.

The words she forms with her mouth do not match the words we hear. A concession made to keep their PG rating. :)

Some favorites that my family uses all the time: "have any of you ever SEEN the show??", "Does the rolling help?", "I've got ONE JOB... it's STUPID, but I'm going to DO IT!", "Can you construct a rudimentary lathe?", "Let's get out of here before somebody kills Guy!", "I DIED IN EPISODE 87!", and of course "I KNEW it!".

A lot has to do with Alan Rickman's brilliant performance in response. Definitely a murders row of outstanding actors. Love this movie so much. A great parody movie, but also works as just a stand alone movie. Also loved the blooper that was kept in. Love you guys. Keep up the wonderful reactions.

I think this might have been his first movie role. Random note: Have you guys seen Zack and Miri Make a Porno (Kevin Smith film)? Justin Long is only in it for a few minutes but I think it's my favourite performance of his. Finally, when I first saw Galaxy Quest my friends and I became OBSESSED with the laugh that Mathesar does at 1:27:14. For months afterwards one of us would imitate it, in an unexpected context, and it would absolutely KILL the rest of us. Everyone around us gave us incredibly weird looks... but my god was it funny to us at the time :)

2021-08-01 07:07:08 +0000 UTCWhen I was in high school my mother went to several Star Trek: The Next Generation conventions, and we attended the Alamo Comic Con in San Antonio several years ago (where I got to take a photo with David Tennant and Billie Piper. It was awesome), and so we love the convention scenes and the atmosphere that is demonstrated with the fans. It can really be that crazy, lol. I loved this reaction, and I knew Sam was going to love this movie. So much great stuff.
