I'm with Matt Mira on this one... I need to wait until I see the whole thing before I can pass judgment. If I don't, my judgment will be HARSH. Patrick Stewart himself even recommended in an interview that we wait and binge the show all at once. Maybe he realized that it plays better as a long movie rather than a tv show.
As it stands now, this looks like a show that tries very, very hard to appeal to fans of Jean-Luc Picard and TNG -- without knowing enough of the right details to stick the landing. Much like DISCO, it's perfectly serviceable science fiction, but it doesn't quite feel like Star Trek... For example, two episodes in and we've seen 15 people killed (16 if you count the android's suicide). That's 5 times the number of people Jev put in comas in the VIOLATIONS!
I love Star Trek like I love my daughters or my pets. Even when they're annoying. But I still have to call them out when they're annoying.
Thanks for everything Matt and Andy!

Hey guys! I haven't had the chance to listen to your Picard episodes yet (hopefully the next couple of days), so apologies if this has already come up...but whatever happened to Data's android mother from the episode "Inheritance"? My friend and I immediately thought of Julianna after watching episode 2 of "Picard." The rest of the crew promised not to tell Julianna herself she was an android, true, but it might be possible she's died now since her body replicated all biological functions. What do you guys think of the possibility of her coming up at all? I mean, we do have previous examples of androids like this.
