While not shying from the ramifications of the unchecked power thugness of the era. The 50s films always showed the entertainment of tough gang-like cops vs the mob/gangsters and made it fun.......but never showed what that "power" thug policing did to the non-gangsters. ps the Kevin Spacey vibe a bit diff with this watch tho. π³

2021-07-25 12:38:13 +0000 UTCThe fact that you hadn't seen THIS masterpiece was most shocking to me π€£ - considering the genre! Same goes for The Untouchables. - it won the oscar for best screenplay and supporting actress Kim Basinger. Unfortuanetely it came out the same year as Titanic - so of course it didn't win anything else because Titanic took home 11 awards and basically won everything at all the other award shows π€£
