September 2024 Update

Wow, it's September already. Where is the year going? Time for another quick roundup of all things Nyx, so here we go!

First off, I want to apologize that Tessa Ch. 02 isn't out yet. I ended up with slightly more work than expected with the end of SaS Book Two. I was actually doing a bunch of work on Tessa's story last week, and realized that I needed a timeline of all the events in SaS so I could avoid continuity snags. I took all the events of SaS Books One and Two, as well as all my planned events for Tessa's story, and figured out the exact day they all took place. In the end, I'm super happy I did this, but in doing so, I realized that the chapter I was writing took place on Thanksgiving weekend. This necessitated taking another pass at Chapter 24, and I decided to split it into two chapters (Which I've already explained, so I'll spare you the details here).

I promise I'm trying to get the next chapter of Tessa's story out as soon as possible!

On the topic of Suddenly A Succubus, this month will see the end of Book Two, and the start of Book Three! I've got some really exciting plans for the next book, and I'm incredibly pleased with how Book Two turned out. Here's hoping I can stick the landing!

It was also a blast getting my second official character art of Amara. You all seemed to enjoy it, and I'm definitely going to be getting more portraits done soon. I just need to look at some financial stuff and work it into my schedule. Whenever I get around to doing more portraits, I'm definitely going to get Vee next!

Blood & Chlorophyll is going well, and I have no real announcements about it. Got some chapters coming up I think you're all really going to like, but obviously I can't say much about that now. I do want to thank everyone for all the ideas in my B&C Character Prompt! It was a blast to see some creativity from you all, and it made writing that chapter so much easier. I'll definitely be trying to do polls and prompts like that more often, especially as our settings continue expand in both my series.

Lastly, I'm pleased to announce I just hit 50 total Patrons!! I'm so happy to have found so much support, and I can't thank you all enough for your generosity. Like I mentioned in my August Update, I'm going to be running an Ask Me Anything post as a celebratory thank you. That post will be going up this Thursday (9/5), so now's the time to start thinking of stuff you want to know!
