Development Update 1.7

Hey guys, i'd like to thank you all for the support lately, we've now got enough funds to commission some of the new models that we need, in particular we'll be assigning one of the modelers that we've worked with before the Defiler Mound.

In the meantime though we've added one new model for update 1.7, the Wraith as teased previously

Next i have an announcement for our Patreons specifically as we want to provide some insight into what the development team is working on as well as prepare you for a Patreon/Donor exclusive coming out soon!

A branch of the team is currently working on the Evo Campaign, this is from the Campaign demo we released last year and it contains the new Abilities, redesigned Maps and new Progression, while they're still working on it the production values have increased significantly requiring new models, animation and specially time so in the meantime we'll have something for those craving some Single Player content.

While we were remaking several of the maps for multiplayer we've created several new tilesets and processes to recreate the maps at a much faster rate without compromising visuals or the original map layouts, so with that in mind we're starting a new branch of the Campaign called Legacy Mode.

In Legacy Mode now not only will the tech be unaltered but also all maps will be played in a 1:1 Remake of the original maps, including exact trigger remakes with some very minor alterations such as an improved AI and some slight map redesigns in the form of decoration, lighting and modified tilesets.

For those concerned this might increase development time for the campaign, do not worry since campaign development for Evo will continue but allow me personally to work on the Legacy Campaign in the meantime.

As for a time frame it will take roughly a month once i formally begin development to complete Episode 0: Loomings and it will be released as an offline version as well as in the StarCraft 2 Arcade.


In the meantime here's a teaser of that first map remade utilizing some of our new assets as well as the new mapping method.

As for when will i start work on it, first i would like to complete some of the new building and unit models from the Polls.
