First Teaser files (Ae and Blend)

Hey guys, I hope you are all doing well!

Some of you asked if I could do a tutorial on compositing in After Effects. Honestly, it's hard to tell when I will be able to make a proper tutorial, all my time is taken up by work, and whenever I do have free time, I try to move forward with the Fishermen pilot.. But what I can do for now is keep posting sneak peeks and project files!

For this particular animation, I used a lot of hand-drawn elements, so I will be sharing just one Blend file with the ceiling panels and a bunch of images that make up the After Effects composite.

Blend file - you will have access to the ceiling panels, just don't forget to link the textures. I rendered each panel separately and added hanging silhouettes in photoshop.

After Effects - the ceiling, background, and ground are grouped in separate compositions and animated in old-school fashion using a parallax effect (objects closer to the viewer move faster and longer distances). Feel free to explore each comp in depth.

These compositions are grouped into one comp which later is duplicated 3 times. Each duplicate has its own RGB channel and is slightly offset to create the RGB split effect. In the end, I add 2 adjustment layers of glow and grain for finishing touches.

Thank you for all the kind messages, next Fishermen post coming soon!
