No Body No Crime: you may have meant Carrie Underwood “Before He Cheats” song is the vibe I get just slowed down.
Great review of the album-thanks much.

Seems like you are really complaining too much about Taylor's technique. She has been killing it for years. These albums are not 1989 or Reputation. I put my faith more in Taylor's way than anybody else.

I find it funny that you talk about how a "producer like me" would come in and do this to whatever song you're listening to so that it flows better. She's probably the greatest songwriter of our generation, and knows exactly how she wants something to sound. To think that you know better I find rather irritating and almost laughable. You're entitled to your opinion, but I think you think you are far too cool for the room sometimes. You also want to add production to make Evermore's songs sound like 1989 or Lover. This is a singer/songwriter album, not a stadium record. That is the whole point of the production being the way it is. Very disappointed that I paid $10 to hear your "reaction" to this.

This was awesome Blake! I think if she pulled a small high note in evermore would be awesome, kind of how Harry Styles did in fine line (the song) I definitely think that would’ve built it a bit more too!

Isn’t it so beautiful! I couldn’t listen to Soon You’ll Get Better because it came out just as my dad was dying from cancer. Marjorie sort of touches on the same themes, but it such a beautiful way to remember someone who has passed. It makes me happy instead of sad - one of my favourites on the album!

Champagne problems immediately reminded me of New Year’s Day, but with way less happy lyrics!!

Did you know that the male vocal on 'cowboy like me' is Marcus Mumford from Mumford&Sons?

Ed and Taylor are still friends!! She talks about him in an interview recently about both of them feeling the pressures of charts and both having a chance to take a step back from that during this year! You can find the interview here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQacWbsLbS4
