Back from ANE: Inspired

Back from Anthro New England, and it was great fun. Though I did the unusual thing and took a spot in the artist alley with minimal display, I made a bunch of new friends and caught up with old ones. I've found myself re-inspired to try some new styles, and work on new full pieces. So hopefully with my child starting half-day daycare, 3 days a week, starting next week; that I will be able to begin knocking out the cash-out credits. (Tues, Wed, Thurs)

While we were gone for ANE, we went to Harvard Art Museum for about an hour or so (we lacked time to really look through) and toured the Edo period temporary exhibit. Which inspired the piece above. I've also dropped in a good 8 new pieces, and will be putting in 3 more traditional pieces as I get the chance to scan them soon too.

I've got some fun ideas for the Patreon guinea pig suggestions too that I will be giving a go for warm ups as well to help me get back into the swing of things. I've very eager to be working on art again in a more than short interval time frame. Hoping to dedicate Tuesday  to Patreon work, and eventually commission work.  Wednesday to my own personal projects. And Thursday to catch up on any house things I can't do when my little one is about, but do Patreon work if I don't have anything to do. Fingers crossed I can have some sense of normalcy again soon in regards to life/work balance.

Life Updates:

2 weeks at physical therapy has been making a difference in my Carpal tunnel (which seem to be more ulnar tunnel on the bottom of my arm and hand) numbness and lack of response when i draw for a little while. I still have about 2 more months of it two times a week. 

As I stated before, I also have been assessing some sleep issues, and I've been slowly adjusting my schedule to an earlier time so I can help my child be awake and ready for daycare. It is only early in the morning. This has been particularly rough for me as a lifetime night owl (and delayed sleep phase disorder apparently), but with some melatonin and a sleep machine it is less rough than other times in my life I've needed to do the same. Once she can ready herself for 'school' in a few years, I'll probably go back to my own schedule if keeping it adjusted to 7am wake-up is still hard for me.
