New song/sci-fi world concept? Coming Friday...
Added 2018-01-30 15:33:10 +0000 UTCI had an idea a few weeks ago that just popped into my head, a whole story, fully formed.
“What if we could stop time, but then live our lives inside that instant of stopped time?”
Imagine a world where people could chose to leave the regular flow of time, and live their whole lives in just a split second. It would have huge advantages, but also some scary consequences.
Sickened could never form, if time was stopped. Cancer could not grow.
Nobody would age. Nobody would die.
But you couldn’t garden, as no flower would grow. Couldn’t have children, as no child would show...
Also, you’d want to choose the perfect time in your life to be frozen in time. I’d assume sometime between 18 and 30, when your body is most perfect...
...but that would mean giving up people in your life. Imagine if your mother was sick. She’d want to wait tell she got better. But all while waiting, you’d be getting older...
Is this a metaphor for people who devote too much time to not trying not too look like they are aging? Or people would are stuck in one phase of their life, and scared to progress, because they don't know whats coming? The Highschool jock, or cheerleader, now 57, who's day dreams are who they was in Highschool?
Anyway, yes, I did write a record this song. I’ll release it to you Friday, after just a touch more polishing. I hope you enjoy it!
"Iife In An Instant"
In the far future
In the blink of an eye
We learned how to stop time
So nobody would die
We could live in this instant
we’d be protected from time
sheltered from the future
it would be so sublime
Nobody would age
No cancer could grow
No baby could be born
As no woman would show
The weather would hang
frozen tears in the sky,
An nobody would get old,
And nobody would die.
(Chorus)
it would be life in an instant
We would never grow old
We would always be pretty
Our lives will never unfold
