Andrew Scott (Jim Moriarty) is one of my favourite actors ever since I first saw him in this episode! Moriarty is so interesting and unpredictable and honestly this pool scene is the reason why I got hooked on the show. Season 2 was already airing when I started watching the show so luckily I did not have to wait after that cliffhanger. But if I remember well, it was more than 2 years between s2 and s3.... that was such a long wait and people had so many crazy theories. This is definitely an episode I watched several times and I always enjoy it. Sherlock and John bantering always fun to watch. How terrifying it must have been for the hostages... hard to believe the old lady didn't have a heart attack (or any of them really). But how brave she was to actually give Sherlock a clue about voice she heard. Sadly it resulted in her and 11 people dying.... I also love the back and forth between Sherlock and Lestrade this episode. Can't wait for your next reaction!

I think the reason there was so long between seasons is because these a A-level actors who had very busy schedules and so the next season would begin when they had time? They all really loves to play their roles. It's so cool to hear them talk about how much they love playing the charachters and that they don't want to stop it haha. It reflects on the shows quallity as we go on, they really are invested in making this a great show.
