A very successful burglar. I think any burglar that gets to retire and raise 3 beautiful daughters in a family home is a very successful burglar, considering the chance of ending up in prison.
Though Tonnie is a thief, she has a habit of mostly stealing from criminals. And she has a Robin Hood style to her action. Usually she steals to return that which was stolen. But... on occasion she steals to gain - hey, a girl’s gotta eat right?
The purple cat is clearly inspired by both Cat Woman from the Batman stories and Black Cat from the Spider-Man franchise.
Both characters I have long loved. Cat woman has been a puzzle to me when I was younger, because I thought she was bad, because I was taught stealing is bad, and my child brain didn’t get why Batman always kissed her, when she was a criminal... as I got older I understood.
In the beginning of Tonnie’s professional career she was not mentioned as the purple cat. In fact no one knew anything about her at all. The mafia rarely made it public that they had been burgled. They usually can’t afford to look weak.
It was only later, when Tonnie had to steal from museums to get her Prize.
I hope you like this drawing. It has been in my mind for quite a while.
