If they love each other they should take the time to sort out their issues however if it’s not working then sometimes it’s better to end it and move on. Personally I think Garrett needs to just ignore Surge and be there for Jonny. If Surge threatens them call his bluff, it was a long time ago and Jonny has a great group of friends who aren’t going anywhere

If you divide, you can conquer. They need to be united to counter Surge. Besides, they're making a mountain out of mole hill. Just tell Surge, "So what? Tell the world, Surge. Nobody cares. What is there to blackmail? We'll tell everybody ourselves. What you have is essentially nothing. We'll back the kid you manipulated to attack us. You're the one who has everything to lose."
