I was thinking about it, and when you win a game against an Avatar of the End, you take its place and become bones. This was a mummy who couldn't die. Fleshy. But we know from a previous statement that when an Avatar of the End *loses* a game, they become flesh again, but retain their immortality. So this poor guy. This poor guy spent Beholding-knows-how-long as a sad pile of bones doing the bidding of The End, finally loses a game of dice and becomes "human" again.... and the Egyptians were like, "WHAT IN THE ACTUAL SETEKH ARE YOU?!" and mummified him alive.
