Going with the flow

Merry Monday folks!

Hope everyone had a decent weekend. It was certainly a busy one around Rusty Towers, not least with the farewell gigs from The Mechanisms, (the steampunk folk band Jonny & Frank - and other TMA VAs - were in), for which I know (and met) quite a few fans from around the world came to London for. For anyone who could not be there in person, you can find the streamed footage of the last concert on The Mechanisms' YouTube page. I was lucky enough to be a cameraman at the gig, and they've said a higher quality edit of the footage will be available at a later date.

Saturday was also a big recording day, not only did we record more RQGaming and some bonus stuff for the TMA break, you might like to know that the first scenes of The Magnus Archives season 5 were recorded :-)

Obviously our big thing this week is coming up on Saturday - as Mike and I launch Rusty Streams! 3pm GMT, Sat 25th January over on the Rusty Quill Twitch channel - and if you follow the channel now, you'll get a notification (hopefully) of when we go live. To find out more about what we're gonna be doing, we recorded an ad! We're really looking forward to this show - and hope you'll come along for the journey & fun times!

Remember that little writing comp we ran over the holidays? The TMA fluff competition to shine a bit of light back on our favourite archival staff? Well, I'm pleased to say that I can now announce the winners! No, you didn't read that wrong, winners plural. Because, the standard of entries was so high, I had great difficulty trying to pick just one winner - so we've gone with 5, all of which will be recorded and posted as Patreon bonuses over the year. And you can look forward to the first of these on Friday 14th February!

Our winners are (in no particular order):
- Mike Massiah for Bargain Hunting
- Imogen Cassidy for Expenses
- Lee Colwill for In the Public Eye
- Jesse Fyffe for Ostriches
- Jack Beckwith for Epiphany

Congratulations to all of you, and to everyone who submitted an entry - it was a joy to read your work!

Now, for those of you wanting something a little meatier to get your pens into, I'm here to say that the time for Rusty Fears 3 is almost upon us! That's right, next week we will be launching the third installment of our horror short story writing competition looking for some of the best new writing in the genre. We'll be selecting 2 winners, whose entries will be recorded and broadcast on the TMA feed in March, prior to the launch of Season 5.

Full details to be announced next week, but I can give you a heads up that we are asking for stories on a theme again. Well, themes to be precise, as you have a choice from 3 different topics to write your story:
- The Awful Machine
- One Last Time
- Let It Out

The judges look forward to seeing what you come up with :-)

And, here's what you can expect from us this week (all shows release at 4pm UK time):
