Quick reminder that there's only a few days left to get your entries on the theme of Urban Legends in for Rusty Fears 2: Fear More... Full details for the competition can be found on our website and should be with us by midnight BST on Thursday (23rd May 2019).
Thanks to everyone who made it along to the RQ Fanmeet on Saturday - it was great to meet & chat with folks, and I know the others from the Crew who made it down has a great time too. Also cheers to everyone who joined me in the Discord for the Radio Rustyvision listen-along - I had a lot of fun doing commentary. And if you weren't able to make it to the RQ Fanmeet, there are plans afoot for another one in July. I'll be sure to share details once that's been confirmed.
In other news, work is moving ahead on the Patreon exclusive audio drama reward that we talked about before - Freaks' Rollcall by Tom Critch. The series treatment (i.e. the outline for how the show will proceed from start to finish and its key points) is currently undergoing a sensitivity read to ensure we are approaching the topic appropriately, and Alex has begun first reviews of the individual episode scripts. No production date has been set as yet, but we'll keep you updated.
Work has also started on our accessibility & diversity strategy. This project will be spearheaded by me, as we talk to key people in media as to how best to open the doors of audio fiction podcasting to more diverse and representative creators & producers, both at Rusty Towers and further afield in the wider industry.
