Quiet one this week, more of a general catch-up from other bits of Rusty Towers.
Obviously, the big news from us, is that we can finally confirm that Outliers will be returning for a Season 2, coming late this year! For those unaware, Outliers (#OutliersPod) is a historical fiction podcast delving into stories that are based in or around the properties administered by Historic Royal Palaces (HRP). which include the Tower of London, Kensington Palace and Hampton Court Palace.
The series consists of stories written by various acclaimed authors, playwrights & performers plus accompanying interviews with the writer. This year's offering includes a number from leading audio drama podcast writers too, including David K Barnes (Wooden Overcoats), Beth Crane (We Love Space Junk), Eli Barraza (The Far Meridian) and Gabriel Urbina (Wolf 359). You can catch up with Season 1 here and we have set up a new channel in the Discord server for it.
I know many of you have been eagerly awaiting the return of the show - apologies that it has taken so long to say anything on this front. Discussions have been long and ongoing between us and HRP as to how a second season would shake out, and we wanted to have most of the framework in place before announcing anything. So thanks for your patience, and stay tuned for more exciting writers to be announced!
Also, advance notice of the next Discord Live (we need to come up with a better name for these...) event for Rusty Nobles. On Thursday 6th June in the evening, we will be joining Bryn Monroe for an AMA Q&A session! We'll confirm timing in next week's communique, so have a think about questions you'd like to put to him.
I mentioned last week that there are plans afoot for another RQFanmeet. I am happy to announce that the date has now been confirmed for Saturday 20th July! As soon as we know the venue is confirmed, we'll let you all know about that.
Also last week, a number of the crew had the great fortune of meeting up with James D'Amato of the One Shot Network in Chicago who was in London as part of a European trip for his honeymoon. Jonny, Alex, Sasha Sienna & myself had a great evening chatting to him about gaming, The Magnus Archives, and podcasting with some interesting ideas arising from such a lovely encounter ;-)

Allow me to preface this by saying I absolutely do not begrudge the Rusty Crew a mid-season break. However, I’m having Magnus Archives withdrawals. It’s not pretty. Waaaaaaah! Okay, tantrum over. Thank you. :-D

2019-05-28 15:05:18 +0000 UTCAll of this sounds so exciting! I'm so hype for any content, I even did a little hand flail in the air exclaiming "Mailbag episode!!". (To be fair, those genuinely are really fun, in their own way) And I was sad not to get any RQG or Magnus episode on the week of my birthday, but I'll get Bryn instead!! \o/ The Stellar Firma title is especially poetic this week... Outliers sounds SO interesting put this way... :O seems like I must have somehow completely misread the description in the past, I thought it was a history documentary series... Need to catch up on that too!
