@Golden Archer - I will say more in a later statement, but for now, I'd like to say that the revised times were posted based upon the best information and assurances I had at the time.

Hey folks! Can we draw a line under this now please? I know folks are well-meaning and all with the declarations of support and we do appreciate that, but we're categorically not happy seeing folks drawing flak for making reasonable decisions and statements. It's disrespectful to them and their right to express dissatisfaction with our operations. We fully support anyone who wishes to cancel their pledge when things like this happen - we hecked up and mismanaged the delay, for which I apologise and we'll look to see what steps we can take to mitigate it in future. In the interests of being as transparent as we can, I will look to make a fuller statement about this in a day or so. Anil Community Manager

My app doesn't have a reply to replies function but can I just say, getting phone notifications of strangers scolding me on behalf of a company kinda sucks? Just to give my comment some context, I have been a supporter for 20 months, this decision is the result of their business practices over those 20 months - around hiring, merchandise, patreon rewards, episode timing & delays, moderation, communication, etc. I'm not trying to start a boycott or anything, and I think I made it pretty clear that I am still a big fan, please leave me alone.

MAG is worth my money each month even if I don’t get special “bonuses” or early episodes (don’t get me wrong - I like the perks) art should be supported and this is an easy way for me to contribute, even if it is small. I’m amazed one podcast, one team - is able to keep delivering high quality content episode after episode. That is no easy undertaking and deserves admiration and support!

People have been giving you shit for this, but honestly after they've missed both their 12am and then 9am declared release time, you have a point and I half tempted to do that same. If an episode has to be postponed it has to be, things can and do happen. But why on Earth would you promise another time if you're not positive you can deliver on that?

Works for me. Those of us who understand that Rusty Quill is run by and employs human beings who, while by their nature being infallible, make every effort to keep us, their patrons, aware of what’s going on as a result of the aforementioned humanity. Perfection by infallible humans is supposedly impossible yet every week during each season our Rusty Crew somehow manages to achieve it with The Magnus Archives. Delays here and there which ensure that perfection are perfectly fine and more than acceptable. Thank you Rusty Crew for all of your hard work and for being amazing, humanity and all.

I’m super looking forward to the episode, and given the title, I’m expecting it to be hella plot heavy (and thus I totally get why it’s taking a while to finish, although things happen in general and that’s okay). Not to be unreasonable and unnice, but this never seems to happen to your other podcasts and since I'm only here for MAG and I can't do the discord stuff (so I missed the update that it won't drop until this evening my time) I am cancelling my pledge, and I want to make it clear this kind of stuff is why. RQ breaks a lot of promises - patreon bonuses, job offers, episode release times. I still think the podcast is great and I hope Alex et al take care, and I'm sorry to be so critical and negative (especially since I know this isn't your fault, Anil!), I just feel like customer feedback is important for small businesses so I wanted to be clear and use my money as my voice. Thanks for all you do.
