I'm late to the party coming back to this season after listening to the current ones but I loved this episode so much! Please please let's have Jonny back for more Enthusigasm

Mother of Ferrets

So I watched the perfection yesterday, and yeah, it was insane

Nicole

This episode was so interesting. I had like a moment when I was fairly into horror films and kinda burnt out on them and wandered away, and it was cool to get perspectives that echoed I think some of the reasons I burned out on it and gave me things to look for when I want to wander back.

Kath

I’m really loving this series. I could listen to so many more hours of each!

Liz M

Great episode, I would love to listen to more of this stuff! Y’all are both funny and insightful, which is great to listen to! And, Fyi, I would absolutely be here for a 20 minute conversation about Hannibal. Like, I’d be here for a 2 hr conversation about Hannibal, tbh.

Autumn Brooks

This was fantastic! Finally listened last night while in the grips of insomnia and it really was enjoyable. I can listen to Alisdair and Jonny discuss deeply the psychology of horror Every. Single. Day. ❤️

LainyJP

What a great episode! Super interesting to listen to even considering that i'm not really invested in the horror genre 💖

CrazyChopstick

You had a lovely turn of phrase in that description!

GugTheGoose

I've absolutely loved the eps of Enthusigasm so far. They're such a brilliantly warm way to end the week given how heavy some of RQ's shows can get during the week. Helen's enthusiasm and the kind and thoughtful discussions between the guests is as water to the weary desert traveler after a long week.

Terri

Was so excited for this ep and it really delivered!! loved it

Nicole Stevenson

Honestly, I'm so grateful that Magnus Archives introduced me to the horror genre over the past four years. Twas a gateway work of fiction and it's been such a great journey.

Lurkin

Oh I love Enthusigasm so much, it's the best thing to have in the background while drawing and it always keeps a smile in my face <3!

Lmnstr Yuyo

Fantastic! Loved this.

Liraven

Not to be mean or anything, but I was waiting for them to talk about The Exorcist and it was never even mentioned.

Another_Maxx

Old Gods of Appalachia is super good. The first horror podcast i listened to thats still one of my favorites is Archive 81, especially the golden age, season 3, and left of the dial.

Compassion Is Punk

Another great episode! I'm just starting to dip my toes into horror so I got some real good recs here 😁

The Magnus Archives Was A Comedy

Cosign on Old Gods of Appalachia. There's an episode in S1 that has an acappella version of Are You Washed in the Blood of the Lamb mixed with a revival tent preacher that is one of the most intensely creepy things I've ever heard. And as a person who grew up in the South (Texas) so much of it hits home. Thanks for another delightful episode

Wendy Reed

What an excellent episode! When Jonny said he loves House of Leaves cause he’s that prick, I nearly spit out my coffee. I love that book too, but it’s true 😂

Phoenix

T H A N K Y O U for that reference to Jeremy Brett. I hardly hear anyone reference him when discussing Holmes.

Ashley Sowers

this is so excellent i love this more than anything

nero

This was incredible! I love horror everything and this was a complete treat. Thank you all and thank you Rusty Quill and Helen for this show. 💜💜💜

Gilligan Mungus

gosh I could listen to ten hours of this!

Mai

*vibrates in I just want to write some really good space horror* I live part of the year in a place where, if you walk outside at night, the expanse of stars is so wide and crushing and open that it almost seems to contradict the very real rocks under your feet, and I've dipped into the feeling of that a few different times, but I feel like at some point I should really just give it a solid go...

Elizabeth Wynn

This show is amazing. Really one of my favorite!

Laure Gagnon-Tremblay

Best episode yet! I love this. I laughed so much but I also loved the really, really interesting discussion and perspectives that everyone brought. I have the biggest smile on my face. I really needed that. Thanks guys. Also lol. everyone in hannibal is magic is not the take i expected but it's the one i needed. xD This show is so enjoyable bc it's really good fun but it also digs into the topics in very interesting ways. The dynamic in this one was SO great. thanks guys.

ThirdFromTheLeft

I’m listening to this while decorating my bloody Halloween cake and feeling very thematically appropriate!

Matilda Rosén

That was lovely!

sAZAndorable

To be fair I would buy that t shirt

Eli

One of my favorite Hannibal memes is just a post pointing out that all the characters talk like very stoned vampires, loved hearing yall goof on it.

Kit

Mark Kermode is Manx? Thank the gods I can now stop trying to work out his accent.

Linda Evans

Love these! Brightening up my Friday walk back from the office, exactly what I need! ❤️
