Finally sat down to listen to this along with friends and i'm just overcome with so much happiness and sadness at the same time. Such a delight, so fun, so nice and interesting, and it's oooover and i miiiiiiiss these characters and i'll miss these shenanigans between the crew ;w;
Particular appreciation for Lydia's thoughtful depth into their characters, Ben's constant absolute gremlinity, Bryn's super cool question and Helen's AMAZING assumption on it, and Alex's [bleep]

Yeeees, you're right, but there are a LOT of fandom theories out there and some of us just need to know the truth!!
...
The truth of the fictional backstory of a fictional character!! XD
But I think, you get my point ^^"

Or possibly question one is "Alex why", two is "Alex WHYYYYYYY", and the scar is number three.

Am I the only person in the fandom who isn't wondering how Wilde got his scar? I feel like we get more than enough in canon to infer that it was someone he trusted and/or felt confident enough in his ability to read to know if they were blue-veined, got sloppy about quarantine and paid for it.
Like, you can wonder if Alex had someone specific in mind, but I don’t feel there’s a big unresolved mystery here (and exploring the possible details is one of the many things fanfic is for). Am I missing something?
ETA: No disrespect intended towards people who are like “ANGST, GIVE US ALL THE DETAILS”; I just feel we have a pretty good idea of the outline already.

Manifesting a low roll to find out wtf happened to Wilde

For the dragon name question, I just really enjoy the thought of the Meritocrats meeting, with a glint in their eyes, "hello, Dragon, how are you?".
"I am doing marvelous, Dragon, how have you been lately? Have you heard anything from Dragon?"

So question one is definitely "Alex why", right? With Wilde's scar as question 2?

Bless your heart [genuine] for doing all that driving, especially in these times. This confirms my opinion that RQG is the best actual play podcast. I have been spoiled because it's the first I've listened to. Campaign and Campaign: Skyjacks are pretty good, if you haven't tried them. But RQG will always be my favorite.
Chapter and Multiverse is the next gaming podcast from Rusty Quill. It is coming out this year! It has not been revealed if Alex will GM at all. I kind of doubt it. :( But they have an excellent cast lined up! (including Ben, Lydia, and Helen)

This was absolutely lovely!!! Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions!
Only just learning that the meritocrats are named dragon in other languages, I had no idea.
Also I’d forgotten that we don’t actually know how Wilde got his scar, I’ve read so much from the fandom and mentally filled that in.

If they would have investigated that more deeply, the podcast might not have been that long 🙈

'The one that got away' is a reference to a message Sasha receives from Brock (who is part of Mr Ceiling) in episode 53, so quite early in the game. The message tells Sasha to find the one that got away. Everyone (the players, characters and probably most of the audience) assumed this was referring to a person, but we learn in episode 194 that The One That Got Away is actually the name of an inn in London, which is where Tesla and Co. are hiding out. Hopefully that clears things up?

To the 2nd point: Brook said via letter or the mechanical man very early on (when the Mr. Ceiling stuff was happening) to the group: "Find the one that got away", but the group never tried to look closer into that and almost at the end they find "the one that got away" in form of Nikola's "hideout" ...

1. I absolutely love this campaign and I'm really sad that it's over. I love this group. Alex as a GM is perfect. I can't find another actual play podcast that even comes close. As a trucker I spend about 11 hours a day listening to podcasts. I need yall to make another game..... please.
2. Can anyone explain the "the one that got away joke" to me? It's plagued me no matter how many times I listen through.

Not going to lie I would love to know more meritocrat related stuff, like how much shade (if any) Apophis caught from the other dragons for having a secret family

Lydia: Here are five pages of backstory and the myriad motivations and subtext behind each of my characters.
Bryn: I've done the math and here is my list of questions you must answer.
Helen: Thank you for a good date.
Ben: I can't be bothered. No comment.
I love you all, individually and collectively.

Also I'm desperately hoping that one of those 100 questions is where the single allowed f*ck would go in each season/for each character.
