Neon Inkwell launches this week!

Hi folks,

We are so excited that Neon Inkwell is launching this week! Neon Inkwell is the home for short form audio drama series, featuring creators from around the world. You can expect to hear a wide variety of shows and genres, from an existential science fiction horror written by Sasha Sienna (who writes our spin-off What the Ghost episodes and voices Georgie Barker in The Magnus Archives) and Jonathan Sims (co-creator of The Magnus Archives and The Magnus Protocol) to a wizard-filled alternate version of Sydney or a coming-of-age story about cults and culpability. Each series showcases the work of different creators and talented casts, all under the umbrella of Neon Inkwell and produced to the incredible standard you expect to hear from Rusty Quill Original shows. It’s been an absolute joy working with the talented folks on the first roster of series.

Neon Inkwell has an incredible opener in Of That Colossal Wreck, a seven-episode short series written by Sasha and Jonny. Five survivors awaken on a vast space station, intended as humanity’s last defence against oblivion. However, there are other beings interested in the vast facility… The first episode of Of That Colossal Wreck launches on Patreon this Wednesday and to the public on the new Neon Inkwell podcast feed on Friday 24th November. In this first episode, we meet our survivors, Levi, played by Aaron-Louis Cadogan (who you’ll recognise from his role as Antyllus in Cry Havoc! Ask Questions Later), Mira, played by Catherine Luff, Luna, played by Hannah Raymond-Cox, Riley, played by Kate Sketchley and Zack, played by Euan Sheddon. As they awaken, they must remember their purpose, and find out who they are. But the problems onboard the space station go far beyond what they are prepared for…

Within the diamond is an image of a figure wearing a spacesuit, seen through a round porthole or window. The figure is overlooking a star filled sky. At the top of the diamond is the Neon Inkwell logo. At the bottom of the diamond, in a white box is the name: Of That Colossal Wreck, in a stencil-like font. Below this is the Rusty Quill logo.).

If you enjoy the show, please recommend it to your friends, write a review or leave a rating on your favourite podcast app – let’s launch this incredible anthology series with a bang! Of That Colossal Wreck is perfect for fans of horror and The Magnus Archives, but Neon Inkwell will showcase multiple genres, with a new and exciting new short series every few weeks. We’ll be sharing more of these in the newsletter in the near future!

Meanwhile, if you missed our Twitch stream celebrating the premiere episode of The Magnus Protocol a couple of weeks ago, it will be available on our YouTube channel tomorrow.

Finally, on the public Cry Havoc! Ask Questions Later feed, we’re sharing another episode of our Backstage series. In this episode, host Lowri and guests discuss the real Roman cults and religions that inspired the show. Knights and Nobles can listen to this episode ad-free now, here on Patreon!

despite loving TMA I still consider myself "not a horror fan" because I am a tiny infant baby. but I'm still looking forward to Neon Inkwell even though it's horror, because the premise of Colossal Wreck sounds so interesting. so, I'm both excited and frightened 😁 hooray for Aaron-Louis Cadogan, he did a great job in Cry Havoc, excited to hear more of him!
