Cry Havoc! #1 - After Caeser

Comments

Not to be a fangirl on main but...THIS WAS SO GREAT, from the soundscaping to the acting to the ost and obviously the WRITING. I've missed David's style, so silly sometimes with characters that are a complete mess and yet I am already completely sold to them

Whoa this is great!!! Love the music and the acting, everyone is doing such a great job! Also loved the Ahmed cameo as Ptolemy hehe

I haven't even listened yet and I am already super stoked! I'll be back in a few hours to gush, I'm sure...

Ollie of the Beholder

Aaaaah, loving the framing of (slight spoiler) Charmian retelling the events to Cleopatra, and taking a few liberties =D What an incredible mess already; go live your best life, Octavia <3

Chef kiss. Love the modern, British tone; love how even with the comedic aspect both Mark and Gaius are shown to truly BE competent and cool at their respective strength (especially loved my booooy Octavian in the second half!! I thought he'd just be buttmonkeyed but no!); caught and laughed at at least 5 classics jokes and references (What I do I do for Rome eh? 😏) and as many very non-classic, modern ones; love how Fulvia and Octavia both immediately have their own inner life and very strong personalities despite being The-Sister/Wife-Of-[Insert Powerful Man Here] and I already really like them; love Cleopatra and Charmian's vibe, and how the episode ends on the contrast of how the lads are running Rome and how Cleopatra is running her own kingdom. And is going to be running Rome, too. That's a bingo on all the things I wanted/hoped for from this show -- congrats and welcome, Cry Havoc!!

STUNNING!!!!
