This week at Rusty Towers it’s all about The Magnus Protocol ARG (Alternate Reality Game). The ARG, which for those who may not be familiar with them, is a little like a scavenger hunt with extra exciting steps, launched on Friday and we’ve loved seeing how invested people already are. It’s still very early days and there are still lots of clues to discover in the wild, so if you haven’t got involved yet and would like to, there is plenty of time! Meanwhile, we’re also closely watching the final days of Monte Cook’s The Magnus Archives Roleplaying Game crowdfund! There’s just four days left to pledge – make sure you don’t miss out on your chance to get this incredible RPG. The final days of any crowdfunding campaign is another huge push, and is a time when extra stretch goals are often met. There’s a good chance that extras may be unlocked in these next few days. We’re very thankful to the amazing team at Monte Cook who have put a lot of dedication into the rewards and into the game itself.
This week in Cry Havoc, murder is planned. Hearts will break. Lepidus may nap. But how many assassins does it take to kill a Roman Triumvir? We are reaching the final climax of the series now, with the finale releasing publicly on the 19th October. Plots thicken, schemes are woven, and Mark has a plan…
Then on Friday our bonus is the final instalment of our Meet the Actors series. Lara Sawalha, Sarah Lambie, Andy Secombe, Beth Eyre, Aaron-Louis Cadogan, Sarah Agha, Harry Roebuck, and Kazeem Tosin Amore discuss whether they listen back to their own work, and what were the first and last scenes they recorded.

2023-09-25 12:56:37 +0000 UTCSeen & heard some of the ARG shenanigans and it sounds amazing 😁 I don't have the brain bandwidth to participate actively, but what content I have seen is so charming and funny and intriguing! Kudos to all involved (on both sides)! The MC game stuff is also fantastic, so much passion and so many goodies!!! I can't wait to rub my hands over all that stationery, and the playmat that was just unlocked! And I've finally caught up to Cry Havoc and will *have* to post some proper reviews because it's SO good, super fun and funny but also holy heck the quality! the skills and talents shown off in there! in dialogue writing, in character development, in acting, and in audio editing!!! I'm enjoying it SO much and keep forgetting it's a thing I'm listening to that people created, zero notes, incredible technical work everyone!!!!
