There has to be more to this selling Opium in Boston than it seems like, right? I cannot imagine, even for the amount of money it will net him, that all this is worth it if there is not some other incentive at play here.
Also, I know I'm supposed to hate him (and I totally do) but I like Mosley less and less every time his stupid punchable face is on screen. And I really, really hate Michael with that mustache.

2023-10-09 12:25:06 +0000 UTCYou are right it's the same opium from Brilliant Chamg that he was dealing with in Season 5 Tommy is such a fantastic character full of layers which are slowly unravelling. It is an unbearable thought what these soldiers enjoured and just kept to themselves.

2023-10-04 13:51:29 +0000 UTCOh, I totally didn't clock that that was the same person. That makes things much more interesting. I honestly didn't realize Tommy was doing all this to avoid war. I mean, now that I type it, I feel stupid for not realizing it. War has taken so much from him and his family. Of course he'd do whatever he could to stop another one. Yeah, once I finish this series (which will be in less than two weeks, how did that happen?) I'm making a beeline to research Mosley and Diana. I had not heard of them prior to this show and am very interested to read the history of all of this. Is this the same opium from the Chinese in S5? What happened to Chang? Did I miss something there? I cannot imagine what it must have been like in the war. Especially coming back and having no resources (mostly because there weren't really any resources then). This poor man needs rest and sleep. But even his brain is against him. Part of why this show is so good. There are always things I miss, and then have to reconsider how I feel about things after I realize what's actually going on. Ha.

Can you remember in season 5 when Michael came back from America with Gina he was held by the IRA and Captain swing rang Tommy. That is the same lady Tommy is working with. They have been working together for a long time i think shipping arms to the IRA and drugs from Birmingham to Ireland????????? Now obviously with the Fascist movement Tommy sees her as a cog in his plan. Season 5 saw people seeing something in Tommy's eyes, he was starting to believe in something again. He does not want to see another war that is why he was feeding information to the government Churchill to stop the communists and then the Fascists (Moseley) so he has been working undercover for a long time. Mosely and Diana (real historical power couple) are in talks with Berlin (Hitler) and are trying to gain followers for his party British Union of Fascists with Tommy helping because he has such a following in the Midlands. Tommy is going along with it as you know to bring it down. The Opium is Tommy's business side always making money (this time he sees it as one final deal to set up the family so they can escape). The Opium is what is linking the IRA, Michael and Gina, Alfie, and Jack Nelson together to hide the plan of Tommy undermining Moseley!!!!!! But obviously he has Michael and Jack planning to kill Tommy and take the Money, IRA are no better, and Alfie who essentially has given up. Not sure if that helps any if at all????? LOL!!!! Tommy is having PTSD flashbacks every time he has a seizure the Prussian boy with Green eyes Tommy mentioned that he 1st killed in the war is obviously haunting him as that's who he sees in his seizure flashback. Tommy is fighting his demons literally in his dreams. Always a lot to unravel in each episode!!!!!
