Just as when the T-62s were deployed in June 2022, Russian insisted they would be used only as short range artillery pieces in pillboxes, the same claim is being made about the T-54/55B.
The cope cage to protect (theoretically) from ATGM tells a different story.

2023-05-12 04:26:19 +0000 UTCGiven that there are no sensors on that monstrosity over the turret (unless maybe there is a commander standing on top of it with binoculars?) wouldn’t that make the tank insanely visible while cresting over a hill well before the ability to detect or shoot back kicks in when the sight or cannon clears the crest?
