Patron Exclusive Comic Sequence {November 2021}

The Comic is now complete! ^o^ Also included a Text-less version of the final for ya all. ^_^

This project has been a lot of fun, I always love it when I can try out concepts and ideas which I've had laying around, and successfully create something spectacular! 

I think my favorite of which was using Text font and comic layout styles to convey various aspects of the story telling, From her hand writing changing as her hands changed, to the switching at the end to a Mind bubble showing that she is still her old self in her mind using her "Human Text" from the start, and also giving the impression that the reader was now in the present time rather than in the Journal.

Thanks again for all your patience and I hope you all enjoy this comic as much as I enjoyed creating it! ^_^

That about sums it up.

I keep telling the team “I'm OK”, “Found nothing of interest”, “There's no need to return to the site”. Hopefully I can keep whats happened to me secret.

I can't stay out here forever though, I may be a creature of the desert now, but I'm still largely human.

What will people do when they see me? Run away in fear? Hunt me down? Lock me away in some classified research facility? I can't possibly drive myself home like this.

I'm probably just, worrying too much? Everything will be fine. I've solved bigger problems in my life. Luckily the changes didn't progress any further than this. All things considered, this new form isn't all that bad, in some aspects, better even. In time, things will fall into place and work out, as they always tend to.

Using souly my tail, I slithered my way out into the sun light, the heat and sun had never felt so good against my skin, it was invigorating. I rolled again onto my back, to get my first real look at whats happened to my body.

My dark scales were glimmering beautifully in the sunlight and I could see my forked tongue darting in and out of my view as I looked down at myself in awe. I was able to bend and twist my tail with ease now, it felt like a long flexing coil as I moved it in all directions to examining every inch. It looked so alien to me but it felt so strangely normal, like I've always had it.

I reached up and touched my face, feeling its new reptilian shape and with my claws catching on it's scales, I followed the hood of skin that was now the sides of my neck, as if the colors of my body were not  evident enough the hood was proof positive I've become a cobra.

After regaining my composure, I got myself upright on my tail and began making my way down to camp. Even though no one is around I cannot risk someone seeing me like this, not yet.

I had finally managed to drag myself to the cave entrance! Catching my breath I leaned on the dune that still covered most of it, and looked down at my body. My tail was now longer than my torso and my legs were just two tiny stubs. I could see in the distance, clothing laying in the trench my body left behind.

It was time for the final hurdle, I rolled around and placed my chest against the dune and began to climb out. I could feel the skin of my tail shifting, being pushed and pulled by my new muscles and bones as I tried hard to push myself up the side of the dune. Like a long lost memory resurfacing, I knew I never had, or a baby just realizing they can walk, the more I gained control of my tail the more I knew how to use it.

With my tail fully outstretched and gripping the sand, I got my arms and head to the top of the dune, reaching my arms out  and using the idol as a sort of pick-ax I pulled the rest of my body over the edge and out of the cave. I was free!

I managed to pull myself through, but the numbness had spread further up my legs and all feeling in my feet was gone.

I tried to push myself forward with my legs but nothing would catch ground. Propping myself up on my hands, I turned and looked behind me, my shoes, with socks still inside, where laying empty at the base of the bore-hole. Following the ground to where my legs were, I saw that just two footless bony stubs remained.

A strange feeling of something large moving and rubbing against the inside of my legs then overtook me. My tail was coming in, pulling my shorts down with it as it grew longer and thicker by the second. It was so strange losing feeling in parts of my body I've known all my life, and gaining completely new and alien sensations in their place.

I was so close to the Exit. Maybe, if I got out of the cave, it would all stop?

With my entire body aching and the idol clutched tightly against my chest, I managed to get onto my feet. I could see the skin of my outstretched arm becoming darker, my scales glimmering in the lantern light.

With the bore-hole in sight I started feeling the skin of my face stretch as it pushed out in front of my eyes into something completely inhuman, I could feel the tips of my now forked tongue rub against fangs as I explored my new mouth. My hair was falling out as well, large clumps would periodically cross my line of sight as I walked.

With how weak my legs were becoming and the numbness of my toes, I dreaded having to crawl through the bore-hole to get to the other side, “It would be impossible for me to get back onto my feet”, I thought to myself.

And I wouldn't either, not ever again...

Page 5 is up!

I have managed to complete a proof of concept for another Idea Ive been wanting to try out, Combining Image, Text, and Animation into a comic page! Its pretty rough and probably wont be something I can really do until I get a better Graphics Card, I had to really shorten the frame count and the resolution so that I could render out the 6 frames in less than an hr >.> Didn't want to keep you all waiting any longer,I still have a few pages to make before all is said and done too. But the point is, it worked and is something I can definitely do more of in the future! ^o^

The first noticeable changes appeared on the parts of my body which first made contact with the Idol, my hands. I remember watching in horror as my pinkie and middle fingers shrank and then became completely absorbed into my hands, leaving me three digits each, all the while, my nails lengthened and formed into thick dark claws.

August 6th 2031

10:00am

I'm alone at the site today, and will be creating a bore hole through the tunnel door to explore the interior. Hopefully its clear of debris and I won't need the dig team to return.

1:00pm

I've successfully made it through to the other side! The chamber is clear and breathtaking!I can see a faint glow in the distance. Is that the Idol?!

1:15pm

Instantly after removing the idol from its pedestal, a strange feeling seemed to flow down my entire body, could it be the curse? I've managed to make it safely off the pedestal's bridge and onto solid ground with the idol. My body doesn't feel normal, not as if I'm sick, something stranger, my skin no longer feels like my own, it feels bumpy beneath my fingers, like scales? Is this all in my head? Was something really left here to activate if the Idol was removed from it's resting place? All I know for sure, I need to get out of here, and fast!

August 11th 2031

It's been nearly a week since my last entry, I've finally gotten used to these new hands and can write again. I did manage to escape the tunnel but at the cost of most of my humanity. The Idol's curse has turned me into some sort of strange mixture of Human and Cobra,“Any whom might disturb the idol will become the vessel of the Goddess's Visage” is extremely obvious now, any sane person would not believe it though. I don't even know why I'm still keeping the thing so close, there's a part of me that feels some sort of kinship with it, and besides, after how long I've been looking for it, why not keep it?

I feel some need to to record in detail the transformation I went through in the tunnel, maybe recalling it will shed light on a way to reverse it or, I guess at the very least, it will make for a great horror story.

Just finished working on the first two pages! Had a bit of a fight creating the journal page overlay, but I am extremely happy with how the entire layout has turned out! I've got the text written out for the next 2 pages, so expect them soon! Enjoy ^_^

Text Page 1-

August 4th 2031

Just received word today, that the excavation team at site 2D has finally reached the entrance of the Chamber's main passageway. Reports state that they found an Egyptian style “False Door” covered in hieroglyphics, typical but still none the less intriguing. I just hope its not another empty tomb, another false flag in the search of the relic's true location.

I'll be sure to  return to the site first thing in the morning!

August 5th 2031

9:00am

After arriving at the dig-site, I went straight to deciphering the hieroglyphs within the passageway. The tunnel was small and simple and lead to a stone panel flanked by two stone cobra statues. Unlike the two guarding the above ground entrance these were pristine! With the lack of vandalism, it's very likely the main chamber itself is undisturbed!

11:00am

I've just finished deciphering the first few rows of runes and it's now obvious, At long last! This is indeed the holding place of the Idol!

The Warning

“Any whom might disturb the idol will become the vessel of the Goddess's Visage” 

Appeared multiple times in the translation. The Goddess it's referencing is likely the Cobra Goddess Wadjet, but what could the rest mean?

With all the happenings of the past month, me getting extremely sick for a week, the birthday celebrations including my own, my internet data running out early in the month, and the power going out twice, completing this comic project on time turned out to be impossible. :/

That being said, I'll be working on this over the course of the next week, much like what I did with the Shark Sequence back in July, aiming for at least one page a day.

I believe I mentioned this back then too but this may become common as I attempt more and more Grandiose Sequence Projects, a major waste of time comes from the hr or so it takes my computer to currently render out an image, its unnecessary wasted time and greatly cuts down on production. People who have watched my Streams can also note the time wasted in rendering progress previews too. Because of how DAZStudio is designed I cannot work on the next page until DAZ finishes Rendering either, because it does not allow more than one instance of the program open at a time >.< Whenever Graphics cards again become available and I'm able to get my hands on a Invidia Geforce 3070 or 3080 hopefully render times will GREATLY decrease!

As for a bit on the Project itself, It's going to be a sort of origin story of how the gal became the Anthro Cobra told in a sort of journal/diary style, as she recounts her Archeological search for an ancient relic with unexpected powers of transformation! ^o^

The Cobra Model itself was my most recent project of the past month, and she has quickly become one of my Favorite Characters to date, Idk if its just tugging at the adventurous part of my being or if its because the model ended up looking so cool! Probably a bit of both. :P

I'm sorry for any inconvenience, and hope that you all don't mind an ongoing sequence. Wanted to create something great for you all to enjoy, not something of rushed or poor quality I'll make sure to make it worth your wait!
