Just a little suggestion about the jumping system, so when we try to jump to close to the jump maybe instead of refusing and getting the message "You are to close to the jump" the horse could like half stop and then bunny hop. You could then have high chance that they hit/knock the jump, or if you at some point make it so that you can fall off then add the possibility that you could fall or almost fall when the horse bunny hops

Normally if you unlocked it, you'll know right away, because she'll say say aloud what bus to take it, and then say "Hm, I Should go check it out" while there's a note on the side that says "new info discovered" while there's also a sound along with it.

It makes me super happy that early access is finally out and I really enjoyed it last time I played. Now with the update to make the graphics a little better I'm sure I'll enjoy it even more! I'm also glad the dev is communicating and giving updates frequently, and just being active replying to comments and such. Things have been pretty amazing on my part! Only issue was (before the patch) the game making my pc fans run harder than usual even though my pc is quite good and can handle graphically intense games like rdr2 without problems, along with the mouse buttons (leg cues) not working sometimes. But mostly positives! I'm so excited for where this game could go, there's so much potential.

You've paid? The game is free. Unless you're referring to your Patreon membership. Also, the dev has said they're working on this issue with the graphics driver. It just might take some time. Keep an eye out for updates. Sorry I can't offer any further help at the moment.

To be fair, the game isn't very well optimized at the moment. I have a higher end computer, and I have some issues sometimes. And I know I'm not the only one. Hopefully, this is something that will get better as the dev works on things behind the scenes. So, I would check back in a little while to see if the game is better optimized. Don't give up on it completely.

I am having, as well as a lot of other people, a problem with the game going to a black screen and crashing. All the demo's have worked perfectly fine, so it would be a shame if so many people that have supported you can't play, and it really should be fixed.

Chiming in again for a moment about leg yields: The dressage book indicates that there should be a way to do leg yield in a diagonal line or on a curved line. The problem is the current mechanics seem to mean that it's always on a curved line. I mean, I've done everything to do a "straight" diagonal, and it just does not work right now. So, I think something needs to be tweaked in the mechanics to make some adjustments. Overall, I think the dressage controls are okay. I just think some of the mechanics might need to be tweaked a little to work out some of the kinks.

I love what you've done with this so far! I love the introduction lessons, and how you're actually getting a riding lesson, in a video game! the detail is fantastic! Id love some flat work with some ground poles! Any idea when you'll be able to get more lessons and be able to participate in events? and will you be able to tack up yourself and clean the barn/stalls?? also, a note for performance. The shadows cause a bit of an inconsistent stutter. Am unsure if the map shadows are baked or dynamic, but if they are dynamic, it may be good for performance to bake the map shadows in and make the character and horse shadows dynamic And for the movement of the character, maybe try and make the movement less forward based and give it a little more 360 movement, feels a bit stiff. Is it possible to make the course editor usable without having to walk around? Its really hard to create like that And its a bit difficult to find your way around to where you're supposed to go, took me a good bit to figure out where the bus sign was, and where to start my lessons. There were subtle ques which I did like and did help a bit, but for others, it may be a lot harder to figure it out. I appreciate your ability to take constructive criticism and work with your fans to create a game we all have wanted for such a long time! Keep up the amazing work! And thank you so much for all the hard work and dedication!

It'll change tomorrow. I was able to test this by changing my computer's date. Tomorrow, the rentals will be Tati in the jumping arena and Blaze in the flatwork arena. And then the next day, Blaze will be in XC and Tati will be in the flatwork arena. Not sure after that.

I've finally been able to sit at my computer and have a go, and I'm loving it so far. The horse models and gait/stride system is lovely, allows a lot of control and I love that I can SEE the horse's stride length respond. The UI is detailed but not cluttered. I'm excited to see future updates and refinement. My main feedback is to add some sort of in-game prompt when first starting out. I know you've explained about checking the poster then the bus timetable here, but I think many people haven't seen/didn't check (I certainly didn't lol). Another issue I had was that I had to click on the poster for Cherry Peak and Plainbelle multiple times before the option to take the bus appeared - and it's not obvious that I need to click it a second or third time to trigger it. I'd suggest either a prompt to continue clicking, or unlock travel options from the first interaction, then add extra information/narrative in additional clicks. Another quality of life issue is that it takes a while to walk anywhere, even with the speed toggle. It's a tough balancing act with open world games, but something worth considering if Ava will be doing a lot of walking between locations. With all that said my initial impressions of the riding gameplay is all positive, though I'll report any bugs I may find. Just a heads up, I know some people got pissy in the Steam discussions pre-release, as always seems to happen with indie game launches. Part of it may be to do with confusion at the start of the game, so a pinned post with a step-by-step guide would (presumably) help, but you'll probably need some moderation on there quite soon if you don't want your game spammed by negative reviews <3 Great work!

I'm enjoying the early access a lot so far and I would give it a thumbs up on Steam (am working on a thorough review). The controls feel really good still, the Dressage mechanics are great, and I dig the new challenge of the adjusted realistic mode. However, I have two particularly major complaints: First person mode is a huge downgrade from the demo. The motion blur that cannot be disabled is very disorienting and makes me feel kind of ill, and there's a weird jitter sometimes when standing still and during certain gaits. I really enjoy first person, so this bums me out. My other complaint is the horse/scenario pairs being locked by a 24-hour timer. This is insane for a single-player game and I really don't understand this decision at all. There being only two horses to choose from compared to the four in the demo already doesn't feel great, and being forced to ride a certain horse in a specific way really hurts the experience. Today I would have really liked to do XC with Blaze, but I can't. It's either Tati or nothing. I'm sure there's some weird thing I can do with my Windows clock to adjust this, but I shouldn't have to do that. I could understand this system if the game was multiplayer, but it isn't. We should not be locked to certain horses and scenarios, or if we are, we should have a way to at least sleep in-game to change it.

I think (i might be wrong) once you have added the game to your steam library you always have it so if they make it so you need to pay you will already have it so you dont have to pay.

you have to watch the front legs. be about 1 stride away from the jump and when your horses front hoof is in the ground press jump. its pretty hard if u dont know what to look for and u have to adjust the speed so that your not too far or too close

I watched a streamer be able to take the bus and i looked in her game and she had more posters to interact which helped her get to the stables and get lessons but on my board in the game theres a couple flyers missing which i think is keeping me from being able to play

I'm in love with this game. Done all the lessons and got silver I'm so happy, I love that it's a challenge not just go and stop you need to think took me a couple of times to get the 3rd lesson right, Love riding around the cross-country would love to jump them but it makes sense that we can't as we not learned that yet. And I LOVE the books. It is such a cool way to refresh yourself on stuff, I can't wait to see what more stuff will get added, but far my top fav horse game.

It's working well for me. Only complaint I have that really bugs me is the canter animation. The horse's legs look like they go out, up and down, rather than just a simple, forward up and down like in the demo. (This is more of a nitpick than a serious complaint though).

You need to inspect and interact with the posters on the notice board a few times so you get promted to take the bus to Cherry Barn :) I think it's the bottom left (?) poster that I interacted with twice to get that prompt!

by the game not saving - do you mean that it doesnt save your exact location on the map, or that it doesnt save anything, like lesson progress or the bus locations you have opened? the exact character location isnt meant to be saved, you either spawn at the bus stop or the stableyard depending on which one you were closer to at the time of saving.

I got these bugs so far: - the audio bugs on the beat of the steps when running (starts over or gets stuck) - the game doesn't save, I just saved, restarted and I got out of the bus again? - I can't use the bus after inspecting everything within the walking limit. Pro's I really love the thought's when inspecting, the game style is really nice! I love the asthetic of the UI/HUD as well! Everything fits really well, you've done your research in what you want to bring over to your players :) I'll be waiting for the hotfixes! Edit: I miss being able to walk backwards! So maybe for the future :D

one thing I've noticed is that when jumping the riders leg goes really far back (In the last couple seconds of the jump), almost hitting the horses Flank, which wouldn't be good irl. So was curious if this was gonna be adjusted/fixed?

in the first build, there is no showjumping options at all. you can practise with the poles in the jumping arena though. the horses react to the poles marked 'canter' as if they were jumps.

You don’t have to talk to anyone. Go look for the board with some posters/notes on it, and choose the one with the lessons.

When you arrive at the stable, enter (there’s a huge closed door at the complete right side of the stable) and find the board where there’s some posters. It’s near the lockers. Then you’ll be able to choose a lesson

Click on the riding lessons poster. Then it will let you chose « think about it » Then you’ll be able to go to the bus stop and take the 75 which drives you to the stable

GUYS!! To ge tthe bus to work you need to FIND THE INFO to know which bus to take, go look at the cherry peak,ad, right click then left click then its the bus stop
