本日の午後は所用で鹿児島市の中心市街地まで出かけたのですが、こちらは先日、灰と雨が混ざって降ったようで、道路だけでなく道行く自動車も灰塗れでございました…。私は自動車を持っていないので、車が灰塗れになる心配はありませんが！
Sakurajima was quiet this morning.
This afternoon I went to the downtown area of Kagoshima City to do some business, but it seemed to have rained a mixture of ash and rain here the other day, so not only the roads but also the cars on the road were covered with ash.... I don't have a car, so I don't have to worry about my car being covered with ash!

Well actually, our ash rains were orchestrated by the local church, as a religious omen. I'm not sure how they did it, though...
