And avoiding talking about it to spare the idols won't help them because as long as you don't point out these problematic labels, they will never think they are wrong... I try not to get involved in a lot of this stuff because what we know is not half of what goes down in the SK industry because we are not there. Most people will tell you that YG has a standard 7 to 5 yr contract. SM is the company that sign their artist to 10 to 20 yrs. It's listed that they YGE gives their artist the best split profit wise for touring. We can call a company out for the shit they do and YGE has their issues, but let's not add to things. Ain't no company out there that is all good or all bad And let me add, It's because of artist like GDragon writing and producing music why companies opened the gate to let idols write and produce their songs. So this authenticity to me makes no sense. Yes BP are just now being allowed to write their own songs, but Winner, iKON, BigBang, AKMU and even Treasure are writing and producing their own music and as for the leash thing Parris Goebel choreograhed and directed that video and included herself in that part of the MV.

I agree.... Besides, YG is involved in so many criminal cases. The burning Sun had shocked me so much when I read the testimony of some of the victims, and knowing that other employees were involved and that YG destroyed tons of evidence that could give justice to these victims just to protect their image and none of their artists had any word of support for the victims... There is also their tendency to plagiarize sounds and appropriate cultures and even disrespect them without acknowledging the origin and without ever apologizing, whether it's Lisa saying on the Box Braids "I don't know what it stands for" and using the blaccent when she's half white and half Thai, or Bobby mimicking black gangsters in a video reinforcing stereotypes around the black community, BigBang holding a woman of color on all fours by a leash, or BP quoting a religious reference to a prophet in a sexual song, or plagiariazing an arab sample or Kendrick Lamar without crediting them. .. And as you say, when you know that they sign slave contracts, it's hard to find authenticity in their music with BlingBling visuals and strong attitudes. BTS also made small mistakes at their beginnings, but I liked their attitude which should however be an example. They always assumed, apologized, educated themselves, paid tribute ... And what I liked the most is that when they adopt a culture like HipHop for example, they involve the community with them and fight the causes with them. In short, I find it hard to dissociate the YG artists with all the problems they caused, and I only cited a few examples. It would be empowering for them to keep up their shit.

My issue with BP, apart from lisa, is how their extravagant music videos and concept are a fake reality and a reach compared to the life they had as trainees. Theyre selling a fake YG visual and lyrical dream, when in reality they went thru even hunger before their debut. So now being chanel and ysl babes and singing up the luxuries of life seems nothing but a marketing scheme.

This is the second song I heard from them and I like this song. Jennie is just very striking so can’t blame Lo I think it’s her attitude in the MVs not just her look makes her very striking. When they’re performing live I really like Lisa cuz her stage performance is always on point. Jisoo and Rose just have this innocent feel to them that I feel like I end up overlooking cuz of Jennie and Lisa. They are all so beautiful

I love these girls and their music. I think y'all should check out more of their B sides. To me it's where they shine. But again not everyone is gonna like a certain group or musician. If y'all don't connect with them it is just that. As y'all said just let the negativity flow to the wayside. I would also suggest if y'all can to check out their Coachella stage. BlackPink and YGE artist as a while really shine during live stages.
