I have heard a few suggestions of where we should go next (due to the restrictions placed on all creators here on Patreon under 18)

I followed someone on here ages ago. You'd pay your subscription, but then she's email you a link that went to Google drive and had her drawing and photos from there.

I follow a young lady a bit named Shae LeRae Smolik Official(Instagram).She has just started on www.brandarmy.com/shaesmolik ,I believe.Same age as Kylin,17,only appropriate content.Check it out!

Also, Avaryana is almost 18 apparently so might be in a different situation.

My perspective is that they will be better off moving off Patreon asap rather than waiting to finish building a website. May is almost here so would be best to move somewhere else before start of next month even temporarily. Patreon likely made this change under pressure from outside forces that may still exist even with an independent website.

Having your own site is just the way to go. You have your own freedom, no one to impose a last minute ban like Patreon did if you do choose to go to another platform. I know this is about Kylin but Avaryana just made a website, maybe you could talk to her to see how they set up their site so you can it similarly without being on hers yourself. I’ll follow you anywhere you go but just my two cents❤️

Something that I forgot to mention is that notifications don’t seem to work that great on BrandArmy. Also, I can understand why they might not want their own website as it requires more resources to maintain as opposed to hosting. Also as BB has mentioned there might be issues with payments. There’s is always pros and cons to everything. If you are unable to get your site going you could try one of those sites while you continue on working on your site. At the end of the day your fans will follow you wherever you go.

I am unsure off all this as some off these sites are banned in my country so if you went to those mentioned I'd never get to see you again 😢😢 I like the idea off you having your own website, cause not only would you be able to do your photo shoots and vids at your own pace, you can then do your live streams and best off all you can let your music carer flourish, you can use you own website to foster song ideas, different types off music ideas, try out musical pieces and get everyones thoughts and ideas before going to production so yeah I like for you just to be happy and be able to do what you want to do and also it would be a place for mom Jane's photography to flourish especially when she has the mostest beautiful muse ever Miss Kylin 💙 💙 💙 💙 I just want to be able to follow and support my favorite young Lady and her mom in a place thats happy and help were able to foster her music carer cause I believe 🎶🎤🎵🎸🎧🎹💙💙💙💙💙

I think, like a lot of others, that having your own website is the best option. It gives you total control over how you run it and what content you provide (photo shoots, videos, lives etc.). For that reason, you wouldn't have situations where the rules get changed, like has happened with Patreon.

My concern is that if Patreon changed because of pressure from payment processors or credit card companies then website might run into same issue. Other models I have heard have had issues with payment processing on their own websites. It seems to have gotten worse since when they did the website previously. It will be less of an issue when Kylin turns 18 but something to keep in mind short term until she is 18.

If Patreon is not an option at all anymore it seems like Brandarmy would 100% work as a spot to post daily updates/career news if nothing else. Still leaning heavily towards their own site and if all it needed to do was host shoots it wouldn't have to be anything special. And it wouldn't be all that much of a hassle for users to just have to check it 5 days a week or whatever to get the shoots. While they used Patreon or brandarmy or whatever other app to stay up to date with her. But yea we been through this all on the CB post 😅

Rules aren’t necessarily just dictated by the platform. The platform may have been given an ultimatum and had no choice. Thankfully, it won’t be long before Kylin turns 18 in December and can avoid the nonsense happening like Patreon restrictions. As I said, I will miss the app and benefits of it especially on the phone since I and others remember subscribing to the previous website. I am sure the next website will be better but it doesn’t happen overnight. BrandArmy seems to have done their homework and looks like the best platform now. I think it’s the best option for the short term but I would still recommend building the website for long term.

I highly recommend your own site. It could be very simple and relatively easy to operate and there's no worries about if or when rules might change. If you were allowed to have your own site for shoots and remain on Patreon using it solely as a place for daily updates and career news I think that would be ideal. If Patreon isn't an option anymore (or you simply don't want to give them your business, I kind of would agree with that) Still I think keeping the shoots on your own site and finding another platform to use as a daily update/career news would be best. It would be easier to find another platform if you didn't have to worry about whether or not it would allow shoots and I think there would benefits to allowing supporters to choose exactly what they wanted. Just want shoots? Join the site. Want both? Join the site and the spot for updates.

BrandArmy was the one that first came to mind for me too. I've used it in the past to follow two Aussie wrestlers, I think a couple of Instagram influencers are using it now too. It's a solid site, very similar to Patreon, quality videos and photos, tiered content, it doesn't have an app but the mobile version of the website never gave me any problems. Though from what I could gather they take a 40% cut, which is more than some, but not unheard of.

My personal preference is for a tier based model, like patreon before the change; not a fan of ppv simply because I like to budget my spend and I would be disappointed if I had to miss anything - folks can always arrange cameos if they want that personal thing. I'm a fan of the photo sets/video stuff (hope that doesn't make me a perv - just red blooded and a lover of beauty), but will catch up with the life style/live vids when I can, so ability to save/download is desirable. A personal website looks the best bet for me or something similar to the patreon model (without such tight rules).

This has also been discussed in a post by Zac on the community board. As I said there, I think BrandArmy is the best option and would allow sufficient time to develop the website the way they want it without rushing or taking shortcuts. It also allows new businesses models including free tier with ala carte ppv options for posts but can also have a top tier that includes everything without ppv. That could lower barrier of entry especially for people coming from Instagram and other social media. Offering a free or less expensive tier on the website is probably not possible because support costs are too high. Just my 2 cents.

The only other platform I’m familiar is BrandArmy… it seems to accept models under 18…. Seems stable, allows for tiers. You can post pictures and videos and supposedly live stream, but I’m not sure if those get saved, maybe you could link to YouTube. It doesn’t have a native mobile app like Patreon but it can be set as one (at least on iOS). But you will probably have more freedom with your own website just like the one you used to have (I was a member there).
