Well, that, and so many things are important in hindsight that are easily glossed over. The Laboon story seems like a cute little story until this moment. A LOT of One Piece is like that.

2025-02-16 05:22:07 +0000 UTCDon’t listen to anyone who says arcs should be skipped. Could some things be tightened up in the arcs? Sure, but Oda is always going to drop golden nuggets every time. Nothing happens in this arc, but Oda definitely still has those nuggets like the Laboon moment for us to relish in.
