People can break the law "locally" always, with or without AI. Centralizing technology is not the right precedence to set. Open source doesn't mean unregulated. It's just a license, that's all. You can still have all the regulations you won't. I mainly opposing the licensing regime.

2024-05-05 17:04:36 +0000 UTCOne big interrogation I have with open source AI is misuse that you mentioned for example with sexually explicit content, regulating usage of locally ran AIs and keeping users accountable seems impossible. Centralisation sadly seems to me like the only way of preventing the wide range of misuse. Do you think that AI should be open source and unregulated?

2024-05-04 19:39:08 +0000 UTCI can see the effect of fear mongering AI in day to day from people who have no clue about it, besides that it could and it would take people's jobs away from them eventually. It is presented as if it will expand into another universe unless we do not regulate it. But nobody thinks about how this almighty intelligence is going to sustain itself which is an issue that should be considered by policy makers. I myself wasn't aware of the energy requirements that AI needs for it to work until I watched your video about it.
