I appreciate your take, though I do wonder if there are middle grounds for some of your arguments. It seems to me that (perhaps unintentionally) you are setting up false dichotomies, meaning you either use AI/lose your privacy or don’t use AI/keep your privacy. Would love to hear the middle ground here? As an example, I’ve used ChatGPT, signed up with a burner phone number, alias email, masked payment, and use a VPN. I had not used the model for the longest time, but since using it over the last month, I’ve found it to be very helpful. I use it mostly as an assistant to walk me through different things.
