november side comic voting

duck and dive's gonna be over this wednesday, so it's time to kick off another side comic. i learned a lot over the course of duck and dive, such as: multiple scenes do NOT work well for a short comic. from now on, i will be trying to stick to only one or 2 scenes per script.
i'm switching gears to limited palettes for side comics, which i think works very well for starting off with bailey; it makes their feather colors ambiguous.

poll will be up shortly:
option 1 - a short comic about bailey visiting a datemate a couple of months after top surgery. takes place when bailey is still going by cosmo as a name.
mainly features microaggressions between trans people and "how do you REALLY know?" gender questions.

option 2 - a short comic about a car ride between bailey and their mom after a haircut (hm... feathercut). takes place before bailey realizes they are trans (notably, it is the point WHERE they realize they're trans).
mainly features emotional abuse, will have some slurs. generally the more emotionally intense of the 2 options.

these honestly both look good, i personally voted for the 2nd one because it seems a lot more congruent w/my own experiences but i'm looking forward to whatever wins

Limited palettes seem like a good choice for supplementary material; you've used a broad color spectrum for narrative effect before, but your side comics have always seemed more like an effort to get a point across than a delivery vector for visual showpieces. (And the previews look great, natch.) My vote is for option 1, since it seems like a call for trans self-examination after the identity definition/coming-out process.
